Loved the contrast between the Foxy and the Wolf :D

Great idea! I got some issues with the camera movement sadly :C

Super interesting 1v1 game! Would have loved to see more abilities!

Fun game :) I can see this being a fun multiplayer game with friends! Wondering which aspect ties into the game jam theme?

Developer(+1)

Thanks for taking the time to play my game maddy!

I interpreted the theme a bit differently here by having a power scale. Unfortunately, you cannot see this in all its strength as I did not have enough time to create more abilities!

Oooh I like that interpretation :) Considering the time constraint I think the power scaling is clear in the game :)

love the quirky style as well as the character models its quite nice to see some rogue like power ups

Developer

Thanks for taking the time to review my game Alfheimer :)

LMAO the idea is so fun and stupid (but in a good way), that's a big yes for me !

Developer(+1)

Haha glad you had fun with it! That is the main goal of my game :)

love the design of the wolf. would like to see some feedback from the attacks! great job!

Developer

Appreciate you putting in time to play my game :) Noted - thank you for the advice!

The fox and wolf models are great, I love them.

Thanks dan :) Credit to the talented artist nessie who created these

I really like the fox and wolf, their models are adorable! The concept of getting bigger as the fights go on is interesting, but the abilities are too limited and the wolf gets too overpowered by the end. Good base here, just needs a lot more expanding with the mechanics + better wolf AI to really click.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback Rocket! A common issue is the limited abilities so I will definitely work on speeding up my workflow in the next jam.

Cool! The atmosphere somehow reminds me of games from the 2000s.

Developer

Thanks for checking out my game Neutrino - glad you noticed it as the style is supposed to feel and look like the early PlayStation games

Submitted(+1)

This was really neat!!! The fight mechanics were super fun even though there was a limited number of upgrades and I had a great time playing (The wolf was nothing against my spin jump strat). I also loved the stylle of the modells for the fox and the wolf :D

Developer(+1)

Gutted I couldn't make more abilities :( Glad you enjoyed it hahha, if I come back to the game I will create a spinning attack for your new strategy

I didn't quite get the connectino to the theme. I like the models you used for the fox and wolf.

Developer

Thanks, the models are awesome! It was supposed to be a power scale but I struggled at adding more abilities due to time constraints as it was only me developing :)

Submitted(+1)

Ah, yeah, that makes sense. I wonder if you might get a lot of milage out of just allowing the abilities to stack? Being able to take size or speed multiple times get lots of bubble powers and a higher chance to freeze (though maybe diminishing returns to make sure you don't bust out of the level).

Developer

That's a great idea actually, incorporating a level system to the abilities instead of unique ones every time... Thanks for the idea!

Submitted(+1)

Well done in such a short amount of time, I thought I had huge lagspikes but then realize it was that the enemy started by choosing freeze. Good job.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback Fluffow :) Interesting to hear, will definetely make it more clear when you are frozen from now on

WebGL version didn't work properly for me (Firefox) but in standalone version wolf had no chances!
I like the art style and simple gameplay loop of the game!
Abilities give you some tools to play around. I would like to see more abilities to have more varied experience.

Also, you (and enemy) can shoot bubbles when freezed. Not sure is that how it should work or not :)

Developer(+1)

Sorry this did not work in Firefox for you! All my testing was done in Chrome - I am glad it was working in the standalone version!

Yes, the last part is a bug thank you making me aware of this!

The game only needs a multiplayer and some whacky heads as skins, and it would be a fun Friday night experience with some friends

Developer

Haha some different skins would be cool - I agree that multiplayer would be fun on this as well

The movement is so good that i had fun playing on a trackpad, very snappy and responsive and the sensitivity is just right. I think the game could've leaned more into the theme. Other than that, there isn't much to say about this project other than its fun and you guys did a good job

Developer

thanks tim appreciate the feedback! I agree that the theme of scale could have been leaned into more, I tried scaling with power but didnt have much time for more abilities unfortunately

It was quite fun, I liked the setting of being in an arena, having the first person camera when the gates open really immersed me in. I liked the silly characters too!

Well done!

Developer

I love the characters too haha :) thanks for taking the time to review my game it means a lot

Developer
