An incredibly polished game!
The art style, sounds, and general juice is stellar.
Super thumbs up for this incredible game!
Pretty fun idea made me bad at pinball! 😂
love this game design and art so much !!! wish for a more completeed version to play
Very relaxing with a nice art style. I like being able to change whether to increase the size of the bumpers or the paddles, even though I find it quite hard at first. I also find it a bit too easy to reach the target score, probably because of the multipliers, but it's fun nevertheless. Nice job!
I enjoyed it so much that I subconsciously kept playing it! But, I think the game should be more balanced, because when I get the bumper multiplier, the game becomes very easy. But overall, I really enjoyed it~
I like the visuals for the bumpers and UI, easy to understand and tell things apart. It's really satisfying seeing the numbers pump up with combos too. It would be cool to see how my final score compares to the target before moving on to the next round, could have an effect like how Balatro sets fire when you overscore.
The take on the arcade game is unique and creative on this theme. Just simple UI but already very intuitive for a game jam. Might need to give option to turn off background music though, sometimes I want to just hear the sound effects during gameplay. But aside from that, enjoyable gameplay mechanic. Might be good to add more mechanic such as reverse bouncing bumpers/paddles, etc. Good job on this! :)
the mechanic give it a challenge, great!
Really clean game for a game jam. Looks super nice, and can def see the Balatro inspiration. The physics feel good imo, and could for sure be turned into a full release. One thing I noticed is that the score feels like it scales a bit too slow. I wanted to play till I lose but I was so far above the target that I would've had to play for awhile. It might also be cool to be able to upgrade the existing pins. Cuz it sort of felt like I got most of the best pins then the only way to scale was the number of balls. I'm nitpicking super hard tho, very solid game
Great submission!
Simple, creative, fun, looks good, flows smoothly, love it! Super well done :)
I got addicted :D
Really fun game! I wish I could rearrange the pegs and remove balls (maybe also at a price?)
WTF is this game! Amazing idea! One of my favorites! Amazing job!
A really nice game. Fits the theme with a nice usefull mechanic,. I don't even know how you made that many balls and bumpers. It also keeps the hands active and has a nice skill based design. The UI is also nice and the first time I skipped to tutorial , but the UX was so good that I already knew what to do. The only problem was with the balancing both ways, an unlucky round may waste the time in a high round and you might lose easily, but you might also score millions with multipliers. But that did not ruin the game and that is why I scored this 5 outta 5. Good Job! My record was 24th round but I forgot to take a screenshot lol.
a roguelike pinball??? i freaking love this game! simple UI, many different bumpers and balls, having to constantly switch between big bumpers and big flippers, honestly this is so cool! i can only wish for you to sell a post jam version of this with many more new things because honestly i think i'm not the only one that would play it a lot!
i think you should have more flexibility on the position of bumpers so they don't always end up in the same position (like having 2x more possible positions would be cool i guess)
also (but if you ever work on a post jam you'll work on that anyway) the balancing is a bit strange since it's easy to score like 100x very soon. maybe tweaking the bumpers stats, or just by making the score to beat even higher each round?
great entry, one of my favorites so far!
good idea!!but It is a little difficult to carry out~ try mine~
It's a really interesting game, but the jam's theme isn't too apparent in this game. It is also very difficult but not necessarily a bad thing, it makes it interesting to play.
well done its a fun managementgame, the ability to swap sizes is fun but gets a little hard to remember sometimes, but that's part of the challenge!
Wow, not sure it really fits the theme, but this definitely has great potential for becoming a serious game! I'm not just saying that to be nice. It was incredibly fun, one I'll probably be re-playing. I say release it after some work.
Post-jam recommendations:
- I really didn't care for the music. Listen to actual pinball music on youtube. There were no game options, unfortunately. So, I couldn't switch it off without also turning off sound effects.
- It also looks like a casual mobile game, which gives gamers the wrong impression. That is not to say that it looks bad, I just think the art should fit the game play better. Have you ever seen a pinball game look and sound like yours does? Check out videos of old pinball machines for ideas.
- The game also needs balancing, it's too easy, but you probably already know that.
- I would pick a better name.
- I'm not sure why anyone would select the small bumpers.
You have a great concept here. Good luck on turning it into a success.
Cool to see a pin ball game. It seems like there could of been more of a tutorial. I didn't see the point of scaling the paddles up and down. Also when buying things in the shop, it seemed like they showed up, but they didn't do anything
