Playing two boards simultaneously is an interesting idea, kind of like fusion mode in Puyo Puyo Tetris. Though the game feel could be made better with the usual tetris stuff (like counterclockwise rotations, DAS/ARR, wall kicks etc.) but also the entry delay is a bit too long for me. I understand that you wanted to wait for the boards to get balanced, but I feel like that takes away from the possible high speed play you could get out of this game. The way you have to press left/right for every piece to choose the board also feels a little clunky, I would prefer something like pressing tab to change the board whenever I want and then that could affect the next piece that will spawn. (You could highlight the active board and darken the other one for clarity.) In any case, a cool take on a classic, great work!

Cool take on the idea, which is taken to the next level by the packaging and theming. Really sold work, well done!

Very creative game.  I really enjoyed it.  I made a video with the best games in the GMTK 2024 and your game is included. Here's the link if you want to watch it:

Conceptually this is maybe the coolest game I've seen yet. It took me a minute to realize how to clear lines though.

My only criticism is that its a bit too easy since you can kinda take as much time as you want (as far as I could tell) to pick which side to send your tetromino to.

Overall though, excellent work!

Gotta say, this game looks and feels great! As others have mentioned having to line up a full line across the board is an amazing mechanic and made the project even better!

a really really cool take the theme and tetris! i especially really enjoyed the mechanic of having both boards lined up for any lines to break. there could be a better indicator for the balance of each board, but otherwise it was still pretty fun to try and even out the both of em. also nice little homage to isaac in the credits :^)

Cool idea, though it does feel like the weight values aren't super consistent, and it'd be nice to have a proper indicator for how much the piece will affect your scale. Also, spins felt a little off, especially with L pieces, it doesn't seem to think you're allowed to spin them in a 3-wide gap. Otherwise, still a very fun take on tetris, I enjoy the aesthetic a ton, and that music is lovely (especially when it gets to the tetris riff, it's so good)

Very cool idea and execution! I enjoyed figuring out that you needed both lines lined up in order to clear them

Unique twist on Tetris! nice job.

Really impressive, creative and stylish! The spin on tetris where you can pause and strategise for a second makes it incredibly cool but also a bit more challenging. I have no negatives to say but about myself and the fact that I suck at tetris. But that's on me, this game is great! Well done

It looks amazing, I love the mechanic where you need the lines to align for them to disappear. It is very well made, it's nice that there are two ways to lose.

Pretty cool to use a game like tetris and transform it ! GG :) Dont hesitate to play mine, its a puzzle game about putting people on floors according to their beliefs.

I really love the concept! It's really hard to get Tetris controls feeling right, unfortunately, since there's so many well-polished versions out there - I think it felt a tad stiff. I also wish that the balance had more relevance to gameplay. I was excited to try and balance it correctly to steer towards a destination, but in practice it felt more like playing two slow-motion games of Tetris. But that's okay, because I like Tetris. I love the musical homage, and the graphics are really pretty. Nice work!

This game is so well made!! The art is great, the theming is great, the music is great, the scales have a nice weight to them, it's all clearly been thought out and it's made a great jam entry! Amazing work! (Even the credits screen is great)

That's epic, played a few times. Interesting take on the theme. Can't really nitpick any complaints.

The art and music is awsome!! and really liked the idea, over all it fun :)
Still not sure how exactly  the weight works, is it the amount of squares in each side? it was very frustrating and difficult to balance the damn thingg

Great stuff. Very nice juice and a creative idea.

I especially liked the idea of lining up the filled lines.

As for feedback:

  • I'd avoid the mixels (graphics with pixels of different sizes)
  • I think waiting for the player to choose a side negates tetris's inherent urgency, I'd find a gameplay mechanic that keeps the game going without waiting for a player's choice, such as moving between sides while the piece is dropping, or at least picking the side randomly for the players if they take more than 2 seconds to pick.
    • Edit: I see now that it does pick for the player after 10 seconds, but I think that's way too much time, and there's no indication for it

it feels very polished, great job!
its enjoyable take on the traditional version, all aspects of the game look and feel great like it could be already played in a store and controllers.
nice!!
