The minimalist art style is *chefs kiss*. Very good entry! GG

Fantastically polished experience!  Although it took me a second to figure it out, once I got a handle on the dash movement it was super satisfying.  I also loved the atmosphere, music, and the way the camera changed after each major upgrade.   if I had one piece of feedback, it'd be that the camera should maybe have a *tiny* bit of buffer before it moves with you, or the background should be more structured so I know I'm moving--I couldn't tell whether I was moving or shooting for the first 10 seconds.  Overall, great game, nicely done!

I really enjoyed the creativity and unique mechanics in this game! Well done!

Really enjoy the scaling/consuming type games . Tie stylized look is also very pleasing.

Very fun game, looks really polished ! Congrats

Loved the music and art. Faster paced slingshot mechanics using the gravity pockets would make this great fun.

Lovely art and sounds, fun idea but the controls felt a bit inconsistent (sometimes you push in a direction and just end up staying still).

Submitted(+1)

As space lover I hoped to see such a game among submissions. Glad it's here :) I agree with others, that controls are a bit frustrating, but I like the art style.

The game fills like a different take on agar.io, though I liked the game. Only controls are a bit junky and gravitation is to much of a fun killer.

The idea in itself is not that original (but who am I to judge, since mine is also fairly unoriginal), but boy - the artstyle and art direction in general is just superb. I love the color palette and the line work. Great stuff.

I also enjoyed the fact that there's gravity surrounding bigger astronomical objects (that's gone when eaten, and all those orbiting asteroids and moons just fly away :)).

Developer(+1)

Yeah, I thought about those old .io games where you would move around trying to eat other smaller players and run from bigger ones.

We just wanted to put a small twist on that idea. I'm a big space nerd so coding some orbital mechanics sounded fun. AJ did the art and absolutely crushed it and we actually found a random guy in the GMTK discord who was stoked to do the music. It all came together pretty well.

Thanks so much for playing!!!

The music was so cool, sounded a bit like from a Denis Villeneuve movie :)

Unique concept and Entry to the JAM.
Nice gameplay , art and sound also go with the gameplay very well.

Really, really cool game and the art is phenomenal. One of the only games I replayed multiple times, and I liked how the gravity worked. The only "negative" thing I would say is  that sometimes I clicked and dragged but the red line wouldnt appear.

Thanks for playing and for the positive feedback!!! We're so stoked you enjoyed it!

an awesome game to play, though after i reached the star stage i was kind of left wondering if there was something bigger, but i never found it... it feels like some que that there's nothing left to get, and with this it felt like a act of futility to try to find something bigger. it would have been such an interesting end if after eating a lot of stars the gravity just pulls you in a direction to reveal that it doesn't matter how much you ate as the black hole is king here (or something)

Cool Game

Developer(+1)

Yeah!!! Exactly, we actually have a God that you can eat after the Stars... but we ran out of time to put him in 😞

thats unfortunate but i understand the struggle, our game we had an anomaly system with waves and a big boss, artifacts to and some rougeliek mechanics but we needed like one more day to actually get everything to work, and so i just threw what we had into a playground mode so it could at least be played

A very cool vibe! Love the music.

Amazing everything,

The art, sound design/music are lovely !! I also really enjoyed how it scaled up : the gasgiants being first landscape than you can go through and then collectables. And how the orbit that affects you, change depending on your size. I just wish it'd feel better to play. Maybe easier to move around and swing around the bigger astral object to gain momentum.

Developer

Thank you for playing! I think I overcooked the gravity code. Might feel a bit better if i refactor and simplify it a bit.

Beautiful and kinda creepy. The art and sound really complement each other very well. I really enjoyed this.
