Very solid! It's simple but I do like this, would make for a fun mobile game! The icons wheren't clear at first, I didn't understand what the Z meant. Very good submission in my opinion! :)

Developer

Thanks, I’m not planning to continue on this specific iteration of this idea(this’ an old jame game remake) but the future of this concept is still not set in stone

fun game - feels very polished and well thought through, the tutorial level for the square requirement maybe could have been layed out in an easier to figure out way though

Developer

Thanks, it’s really just a remake. As I’ve said in earlier comments, it’s not my best work but it’s decent imo

Submitted(+1)

Shame this may not be developed on further it's very well made. You've got talent

Developer

I don’t really think I’ve got talent, I probably have experience and maybe some creative thinking but talent for this? nah

Amazing game! Remind's me the GB Zelda dungeon.

Developer

Which one? There’s like 5 game boy zelda games(3 if you’re not counting GBA)

Orace ages and seasons. Theres some color puzzle's that you need complet the ground to pass.

Developer

Oh, the oracle games, I remember those puzzles now(only reached that part in ages tho, didn’t play seasons that much)

I enjoyed the game and I thought the mechanics were very interesting, but like some others I got stuck on figuring out what the square meant! I don't think there were enough clues to show me what it meant, so I got kinda softlocked on a puzzle since you can't go back to previous ones to learn more about the condition. Anyway, I think it's overall a great entry :)

Developer(+1)

I’m really sorry you got stuck, this was a remake of an old jam game so I wanted this one to be a bit different in presentation. There was supposed to be other indicators but I ran out of time

Pretty cute trapdoor puzzle / witness-like! I feel like the puzzle could be a little tighter at times, though that's a general problem trapdoor puzzles face I think. Generally later puzzles seemed to do better in that regard. I liked the corner markings, though the symbol is maybe a bit too close to the diamonds? Interesting choice to make the win screen a level that is actually impossible, I sorta respect that :D

Developer

Firstly, thanks for playing. Secondly, this is a remake of an old jam game. Thirdly, what is a trapdoor puzzle? I get witness-like but not the other term

Submitted

Heh, sorry, played too much DROD I guess. In that game, it's basically a term for "visit every tile without stepping on any tile twice"-puzzles, so basically the fill-mechanic in your game.

Developer

Ah, ok

this is an amazing jam entry! one of the best i have played.

it makes you feel really smart without being too difficult and explains everything without words. great polish and solid mechanics. i would love to see it go further

Developer

Thanks! I’m sadly not gonna continue working on this post jam as this is a remake of an old jam game. I had plans for the original jam game but I’ve decided not to pursue it since I have not that much skill nor expertise to do it justice yet.

I really like this game!

The game feels really polished, all the little animations really make the game feel alive. I like that the creature beats as if it was some sort of heart, it really makes the game feel cohesive. If anything, I think you could lean a bit more into this aspect of a "formless" sort of creature by making the sound effects sound more fleshy. The beating sound effect really does sound like a fleshy heart, but I feel like the movement sound just feels like a regular whoosh, so it might be cool to make it sound like if it was a literal flesh creature moving in a gross and slimy way.

The gameplay is super smart and it makes you think quite a lot! The idea matches very well with the theme, too.

Keep up the good work, really loved this entry!

I know what you mean, that was actually the plan but Audacity wasn’t cooperating and I wasn’t able to get the sfx I wanted. Thanks for playing tho!

Great game!
I'm quite impressed with the level of polish.
The sound design works well, the visual effects are neat, and the gameplay is simple and engaging.
I believe you can get soft locked though.
PS: I love the design of the little red creature.

Developer

Thanks, I wanted it to look more fleshy and scary tho. Also you can’t get softlocked, the last level is impossible on purpose

Submitted(+1)

Really fun game, i dont have much feedback to give, I enjoyed it quite a lot, the movement sound is so satisfying, good job

Developer

Thanks

Classic idea executed well with some unique twists, fun!

Feels pretty polished too :)

Developer

Thanks, not that polished tho, could’ve added some story bits but got bad time management

Submitted(+1)

I also missed the chance to add narrative to mine, but who needs a story when you have great gameplay! Right?

Developer

well yeah, but this is actually just a remake of an older jam game. I would’ve wanted this one to have more story since it would’ve been bonus theme implementation points in my book

Submitted(+1)

The meat master. Cool game, nice, creepy atmosphere. I like that it doesn't explain the mechanics straight up.

Developer

Agreed. Thanks, that’s the atmosphere I was going for. It’s a remake of an old jam game, it’s called Slitherthink on my profile

Submitted(+1)

Hey cool game, the game feels polished and the the music fits the overall atmosphere very good. The puzzle difficulties do feel a bit random at times, but overall I really liked it, nice job!

Developer

Thanks, It’s actually not too polished since I didn’t manage my time well. It’s just a remake of an old jam game from yesteryear so it’s difficulty is kind not in the ball park of proper design

Submitted

Gods, the way it pulses...

Really cool!

Gods, the way it pulses...

Really cool!

Developer

Thanks, I wanted to give the effect of the player being a living and growing monster

Submitted(+1)

really cool game! i managed to beat it and really liked the mechanics of the dots between spaces, they reminded me of Linelith a bit :) having to figure out what each symbol meant was pretty fun aswell

Developer(+1)

It’s just a remake of a jam I did a year ago, There was one more mechanic and was supposed to have story… Thanks tho
