Idea is simple, but execution is rly good. I love the graphics and sound design fits in

Good game! Fun to play, but at times there was a bit of 'reverse rubber banding' where once the enemies go too big it would basically become impossible to clear the level. I guess that adds a good level of strategy to the gameplay on the other hand!

This is a great juicy game!  The main menu music RULES!  When I clicked began play and the music changed I instantly closed the game so I could hear the whole thing.  Having a different song for each level is awesome!  I loved the screen shake, sound, and quick respawn on death as well.

However, I felt like if you got too behind you were done for.  I paused for a second to write in my notepad, and got into the pictured situation.  I feel like the enemy was so big I couldn't avoid them, and I wasn't able to catch up.  I restarted the game to progress past this.

Really great job!

Little did anyone know, the earlier enemies can get too big and die. I removed orbs for Pleurp and Balck as the level would finish too quickly.

I'm developing new ideas for the gameplay now the jam aspect is completed so in the likely event you get into that situation there'll be a feature you can use to assist you. I've noticed I left level select enabled in the project. Just press + then a numpad key (0-6) to change levels in-game - feel free to park Hewit in a corner if you wanna hear the tracks fully.

Great feedback, I'm happy you enjoyed this game.

I did it!  I beat Balck! Even with simple graphics you fit a nice amount of personality in here. I like how the eyes point where you're moving

Really neat game - simple and a lot of personality. It's great that each boss feels different, and I felt pretty smart when I realized I could bait the enemies to eat the wrong orbs. My two comments/suggestions: 1) it would be great to have one more verb as a player - maybe a dash or knockback or something like that and 2) I'm not sure if this was intentional or not, but diagonal movement is faster for the player than cardinal direction movement (if it wasn't intentional, you probably just need to normalize the player movement vector to have a magnitude equal to 1 - if it was intentional, ignore me!).

Developer(+2)

Two valid points I will take note of. It's a very basic concept game. I have grand plans for it. The diagonal movement is just an error on my part. My code is a mess, I literally just wanted it to be barely playable as I spent more time on the visuals and sounds. Thanks for trying out and offering supportive feedback.

My code is also pretty rough (in my game, there's a bug where you can get part of your previous round's score to count towards the score of a new round :D). Awesome job - I'm looking forward to seeing how you update it!

Well done! I love how the last enemies force the player to use all the mechanics that the orbs offer! Pretty fun experience!

This was a lot of fun. I liked the art style too! Great work!

Not sure if this game drew any inspiration, but it reminded me of the Mr. Vile minigame in Banjo-Kazooie.

Developer(+2)

Only inspiration for me was twisted metal 1 + 2 soundtracks. Never played BK so can't comment on that mini game. Will look it up though. Thanks for playing.

That was fun! Simple and efficient, thanks for the great time, congrats on making this in so little time, nice job!

Nice simple concept, I like it.

Art and Music is really great here and the idea is simple and easy to understand. Levels could be made to be Unique a bit more.

I believe the idea was to have the player get bigger then destroy enemy, But sometimes you can just be small and still destroy it.

Yep, twas a bug I thought I had fixed after tweaking collision code. All I did was enable speed runners in the process ha. Thanks for trying it out.

This game's straightforward gameplay is to my liking!

Such a clever idea and the game is so much fun. Imagine how much better it would be with multiplayer.

wow this was pretty solid, and seemed quite polished for how simple it is

An interesting game! I liked the different soundtracks for each enemy. And the whole gameplay was simple but just challenging enough to keep it interesting. Good job :3

Pretty fun entry with some really creative concepts, and it reminds me a bit of Megaman, but I can't really pin down why..... Anyways, one of the most creative games here, and a good job in general!

I love the idea to have an enemy racing with me. That is an inspiration!

And the eyes always pointing to the forward. Good details! Thank you for the treat!
