Cool game! Hard to control but that seems like its the point. The level design is also good. Good job overall!

Developer

Yep, I kind of wanted a challenging experience!

A really cool concept! I fell quite often in lava thinking that it was a normal block, maybe a bit more communication to make it clear that you die if you touch this would be nice. All in all, a great idea! :)

Edit: Also super impressive that you learned Godot THAT fast!

Yeah, I had a fire-like lava texture but we had already made the entire map and it was too late, so we didn't swap it. Thanks for taking the time to play my game. Godot felt super natural and easy to learn as well!

Cool idea, but it definitely takes some getting used to. It's impressive that you managed to make this with a new engine, so good job!

Developer

Thanks, man. I knew it would feel kind of weird to maneuver in a way, and I kind of wanted that so it could have a "Getting Over It with Bennet Foddy" feel

Seems like an interesting idea! Just needs a little more polish. Congrats on completing a jam and trying a new engine!

Developer

Yeah, I definitely could have fixed the huge clip bug but I didn't have time.

Very interesting movement mechanic, tho it felt very janky to control
I think the same can be said about my game tho

Developer (1 edit)

Ik, there's a huge noclip bug I  didn't have time to fix

Edit: Checked out your game, it was really good!

Hey I can't really play this game because the tutorial text doesn't seem to scale to fit my screen, and I can't figure out how to play the game otherwise. Seems like an interesting idea though, and having this be your first Godot project is cool!

Developer

Oh uh, the tutorial was added in last minute so I forgot to make it HUD and whatnot. Just use arrow keys to stretch, WASD keys to shrink, hold in the direction to stretch/shrink that way
