Great game, it is very polished! Nice SFX, and the music match well! That last level tripped me up for a bit with that one funny piece not going where I presumed it would. Very nice puzzle design, well done!
Thanks!
Small fun fact: The funny piece is internally called a "Harry Potter Piece". :)
Great concept, clever puzzle design, like others I would have liked more levels :) Great work!
Thanks!
I enjoyed this. I didn’t get too far but I enjoyed the few levels I managed to win. Also the music in the background is really nice :D Good job!
Thanks! Though the music wasn't composed by me, I just found it online under creative commons.
Well, look at that!
That's nearly my game! :D
Although still a unique concept on scaling blocks, putting the control of the scale directly in the hands of the player makes the game keep the vibe of a traditional fill the board puzzle game. The aesthetic reminds me of Lego, bright saturated colours, and the stumps that they attach with.
I will add I had some trouble placing some of the blocks on rare occasions, but a good game nonetheless!
Thanks a lot for checking my game out too!
Yeah, the placing system is a bit wonky, I couldn't quite get it to work and had to stop myself from obsessing over it to go make some levels.
Nice! A really neat game, simple and creative. The art suits perfectly, and the sound design is satisfying. One of my favourites of this jam so far.
Thanks a lot! :D
Great Game ! A simple yet enjoyable concept. You should make more levels and make a full polished version of this game.
Thanks! I'll think about releasing a "full" version, but I wasn't really planning to do that.
The style of this game is so unique, that's i prefered !! Do you think you'll continue this game after the jam ends ? I'd like to play more levels :D
Thanks for the kind words and I'm glad you enjoyed the graphics!
I honestly don't know if I'll continue making the game. I think I can add a few levels at least after the jam ends.
that would be super cool ! Also you'll get more experience doing that !
I really enjoyed playing your little game, I would happily play more levels :D The graphics and sounds are simple and effective and the puzzle are really fun to solve. And thanks for making it work on linux !
Thanks!
Actually, my main operating system is Linux, so the entire game was developed on it!
That was great. The base mechanic is clever, and the puzzles are super well designed. Each one had multiple paths that seemed right, making it challenging without being frustrating. I'd love to see more levels added after the jam, as I was disappointed when it was finished.
Thanks!
It's actually really funny, I "designed" (threw together) the levels at like 4am. Later when people played my game I was surprised to see how many different solutions there are.
Glad you enjoyed it! :D
Super fun puzzle game! Quite simple and I was only disappointed when it finished!
Thanks!
The puzzle piece scaling mechanic is super interesting! The music and aesthetic are also great.
Great work!
Thanks a lot!
Fun game! Very interesting puzzle designs, could set the base for adding more interesting mechanics. Would enjoy more / a variation of levels and possibly adding to the art style? But overall an impressive game!
Thanks a lot for checking the game out!
What kind of additional mechanics do you suggest? I personally can't really think of any that I could add.
Very nice and enjoyable game overall! The catchy music also somehow seems to fit the theme^^ As some advice for your next jam I would recommend adding hints or the ability to skip levels as I was stuck in one for an unenjoyable amount of time.. Additionally I would've preferred if the blocks spawned with one higher level of scaling so I could figure out what their general shaped would be at a first glance. Other than that, great job! Keep at it!
Thanks for checking it out! :)
Yeah, you're right, spawning the blocks with one size bigger would've made sense. As for tips, I don't really know how I could implement this... Especially after watching people play the game a lot of people came up with their own solutions that I didn't even think of when making the game, and I feel like adding a hint that for example shows the position of one block could kind of destroy that "creative" part of the game.
this game was super fun and I wish it had more levels
Some constructive critisism:
- making the placing a bit easier. sometimes I had to micro move the blocks so they get placed.
- the tutorial took me a minute to understand but that might just be a skill issue
- I think the artstyle can be improved. it is nice rn I do find it nice but it coul probably be improved
I think this would honestly do really good as a mobile game. the last level was surprisignly hard and I had a good "aahh" moment.
Thanks for checking it out and also the criticism! I know about the placing issue, I worked basically the whole time on the placing system and had to stop myself to get some levels done.
oh no I get that! we had some issues like that too but eventuall yoyu do need to put the pen down!
Simple but very well executed game overall!
Thanks! :D
I am too dumb for these kind of games =O
But I like it, a cool twist on a known game, perfectly executed.
Oh wow, thanks!
Your game is also great! I definitely can see the difference in the complexity of our games. xD
Haha, just saw your reply on our game. Thank you for checking it out :)
