The game is very polished. The artists' work is gorgeous, they are great. The idea to make an arcade is cool, but the implementation of the theme is not very good. The initial level with the choice of planets does not have any semantic load. I think it would be possible to do something similar to the last stage of development in the game Spore while maintaining the arcade component. The variety of enemies pleases. In conclusion, I will say that you are really great.

I forgot to write about the music. It's not bad. Sound effects suit the style of the game. Sound designers are great )

The idea looks interesting - to combine a global space strategy with a shooter

Unfortunately, I was able to make only one flight - all other attempts to send my ship somewhere did not give any effect - I just click on all the planets, select different ships, try to make the flight path hit the planet - but the game does not allow me to fly at all

Also, the game does not explain in any way how to send ships correctly, my first flight was accidental, all other clicks did not lead to any result, which is a pity

As others have said, love the route selection screen with the local gravity of planets affecting the ship's trajectory! Also enjoyed the creativity in the enemy and boss variety - fighting a giant caterpillar was not what I had expected for the game, but it was a great addition!

Beautiful looking game. I love the artwork, and the sound design was well executed

I love the route selector, the art felt very polished, you could use some sort of indicator that your health is low in combat, Good work!

Very polished and very good selection screen !

Awesome game.
Such good Artstyle and sound/music just adds to the enjoyment.

Nice game. Route selection is cool (but it turns white and unusable after several fights).

Thanks! Yeah, thats a bug with the html version we were unable to solve before submission. Doesn't happen in the .exe download, but unfortunate its stuck that way on web.

I mean the select screen is awesome (I have no idea how it works), but I don't see how the actual game aligns with the theme; the select screen doesn't align with the gallaga gameplay . The art are really nice though and I enjoyed it.

Developer

Glad you enjoyed it! We had grand goals of a system where you could send multiple fleets out to planets, managing the flight time it'd take them to get there vs. time before you'd lose conquered ground. With this setup, you'd opt to manually control certain fleets on sectors or have fleets settle the outcome of battles themselves - to give you more time to strategically conquer the galaxy in time. (Including even smaller scale battle control, via units on the ground level)

We weren't able to satisfyingly implement that within the time in the end, so what you see is pieces of a grander concept! Thanks again for your feedback :)

Ohhhhhh that grand goal definitely would've tied it in nicely. I can't over state how amazing the select screen was. I've been ranting to people about it all day

I really like the art style, and the peculiar conquer/tactical mechanic, also the gravitational route is pretty cool. Music is great too. It's a tad too difficult for me, especially by using the mouse to control the ship, but I conquered the Pingans :3. I think a game like this would get a better feel by using keyboard o gamepad controls in the shootem-up section. Fun game, enemies are hilarious, nicely put together.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for your feedback! We initially had keyboard controls fore the reasons you described, but as the galaxy screen was mouse-only in its design, we switched it all to mouse controls to keep it consistent. Pinga Prime is definitely the most difficult of the 4 in our estimations, glad you beat it!

Really nice! That might be one of the coolest and most unique level select screen/mechanics i've ever seen. also love the retro artstyle

Very cool game.  Although a bit hard, it's really fun. Artstyle look very good as well. Implementation of trajectory functions  is also really interesting. In web version there are some bugs such as galaxy going white in galaxy screen, but it's pretty typical for web browser versions and downloadable versions are usually alright.

Developer

Thanks! Yeah, we caught that bug as well in the html version, always some weirdness getting it on web.

I love the ships :D
