How does your game fit the theme?
The game is set in a terrarium where you, are represented by a large hand which contrasts with a very small critter in your care. We use scale within the environment art, applying a tilt shift effect for emphasis. The story also explores relationship building and the scale of time.

Really fun and cute game! I did have a bit of a misunderstanding at the naming part though, and uhhhh....

But apart from that mistake on my part this game was really good, I loved the different task you could do and the... "casualties" that may occur. Overall, 15/15 game

Gonna quote this review in our trailer XD

Thanks for exploring our game!

Cute game! Now I'm scarred for life. Just kidding. The hammer interacting with the house just felt like I was trying to get to collision shapes to interact and didn't feel like building or hammering. Overall a fun game with a lovable little character!

I beat the game! I squashed my little guy but I think I had just managed to trigger the end screen, because it said to restart - but then I got the end screen! I got lucky I guess :D

A creative take on the theme, the art works really well for it. And I loved that you could name your little pet, that's awesome. Well done!

Now that was... unexpected. I felt so bad as a player aaaah but I think the dev has successfully shocked and immersed me in this one. Enjoyable gameplay with shock value for sure. The 2D and 3D visual combination is also very creative. Good job on this game, now I would like to take care of another tamagotchi.

Very cute and cozy game, I felt so bad the first time I killed the little critter. Very well done!

Very impressive for such a short dev time! Buildable house is a nice addition. Great graphics!

Omg noooo it all happened so fast... Steve...

So cute, great work! Hammering the house was a little funky and I think the hand movement could've been a little more responsive, but in general thought it was cute and fun!

I like the idea and feel of the game!

Very cute!!

Loved it, very cute all the way through. Even at the end it finished with one of my favourite Dr Seuss quotes!

Really love the art style, game reminds me of old school tamagotchi game where you need to keep care of a small creature too lol

I liked the game art, 2d mixed with 3d, the whole game felt realy polished. But the ending was realy sad :(

So cute and wholesome, but the ending is so sad :(. I think the controls could be better, it felt laggy, but the mix of 3d and 2d looks really cool!

Thanks for playing! The cute definitely contrasts the sadness and horror (if you discovered those elements)

With the input delay we were aiming to convey that sense of scale. Like you the player are so massive when compared to the critter and your brain moves faster than your body; it's like trying to catch a mouse.

Really pleased your enjoyed the experience!

Okay, that was a traumatic experience, but I loved it! :D

The game started with such a calm atmosphere as I tried my best to build a house with that floating hand. It would go out off-screen, and I'd have to get it back, but I finally thought I was done. I picked up the hammer to finish the job, carefully dragging it across the screen, focused and determined. I was nearly there when BAM! My pet ended up as just a pile of blood! That was so unexpected :DD

The ending was sad but very well fitted for the game idea. Overall, I loved the idea and the implementation. The fact that you can accidentally kill your pet really made the game more unique. The art was really cute, too. My only feedback is about the hand movement. Less floating would have made the experience more enjoyable, or even just having the hand stay right on the mouse pointer (without any acceleration) would help a lot.

Thanks for playing!

I'll let you in on a little secret, there is more than one way to accidentally kill your pet ;)

Did you find all three?

Submitted(+2)

Developer(+1)

Hiii, did you hammer in the dowels to complete the build?

The dowels will disappear and you gain an achievement once you have completed this step.

Mixing 2D and 3D has its challenges for sure
