HOW ARE YOU GUYS DOING STUFF I CANT DO ANYTHING CUZ THE STUPID THINGS IN THE RIGHT CORNER

This game is top tier! I love the gameplay loop and how varied it is. Fishing minigames can often be boring but you made it into an action segment really revitalized it. The scaling sections were also deceptively challenging! My favourite part was unlocking new upgrades and getting to explore the ocean more and scale the fish a lot more easily. The aesthetics were also delightful - I loved the little characters, and the big fish were really impressive spritework!

My only minor critique is that the fishing hook has a really wide turning radius, which can make it hard to catch the fish, especially early on when you have very little time in the water. Maybe elt you turn faster or lock on to the fish?

Either way, great work! This game was really addictive.

All round great game thanks

Great art- I especially liked the scaling mini-game. The fish portraits are great and I enjoyed popping the little scales with the different knives. I thought it would be cool if the kraken at the end has a timer where you have to feed it in time or it sinks your boat. But really nice entry overall!

Art is handsome,

The music when you fish is so cool, the game loop fish / clean / Feed / buy / redo is so well thinked !

Great entry, we need more fishing games !

Love the art direction! And the interpretation of the theme! It would have been nice if when you finish scaling a fish it automatically go to the next one, but anyway really cool game!

I honestly think it is the best game in this jam. but when you're about to scale a big fish it lags a bit, I assume because every scale is an object which means that if you try to scale that 2000 scale fish it creates 2000 objects, I don't know how, but I think its worth fixing it if you want to make it a big game (imagine scaling a fish with 100000, the computer wouldn't handle it). Also, it reminded me of Fish Ninja or Ninja Fish (I forgot how this game is called)

Thanks for the compliments and feedback, that's a great point. We partially fixed it with the leviathan fish by using larger scales which made it better but ran out of time to implement a better solution or apply that to the other large fish.  Probably having groups of scales with a collider would be better but we will have to workshop it before releasing a better version.

I was thinking about it for a bit and couldn't find a solution that won't ruin the fun in that scale removal thing, I do believe the big scales were cool though.

Amazing game! I was so addicted, I wanted to keep going even after getting all the upgrades. I was slightly confused when feeding the fish to the sea turtle since I thought the red bar was a health bar at first, but it became clear quickly. But either way this was so amazing, I want to see more of it!

LOVED THIS! The descaling minigame was a bit confusing at first due to the red checkbox overlapping the fish facts BUT so satisfying! I really wish this game had more content it's really addictive. Nightmare nightmare nightmare ;)

amazing game! you packed this full of content so well! my favorite part was scaling the fish. really nice job!

I had so much fun!  Plus great art as well. I was a little lost at first because I didn't know what the red scales were, so I think it would be good if that were explained somewhere. Overall, nice work!

Very cute cozy game about scaling fish! 11 year old sister played it for 45 minutes.

rly polished and fun game! the descaling of the fishes is always so satisfying and the art style is perfect. drawing art for every single upgrade must have been a lot of work but it was well worth it. i was so sad when i ran out of things to upgrade cause i still wanted to keep playing. great job of gameplay flow!

This..... game..... I forgot I was playing a jam game - love it.

It took a little while for me to realise i was selling to orcas and mermaids.... S.S Ligma..... so funny!

The upgrade all felt great and I really enjoyed the descaling - the game struggled with spawning so many of the scales (audio skips). I would like to no have to go up and hit the tick then next fish though as that was tiring. also a way to upgrade how many fish would have been nice.

But yea this was great <3

I stand by my belief that fishing minigames are the best minigames, but you've made me now want scaling minigames included as well in other games xD
