Reminds me a lot of a simplified version of Slipways, which is a fantastic game so this is also pretty fun! Hazardous areas are a nice addition to the formula
Great game, tho it's a bit hard for me to understand at start. but overall great!
Interesting game and definitely has potential. I like this resource management type of game. This one is a bit tedious but considering a jam entry, this is more than good enough. Well done!
Very interesting concept, though not my kind of playstyle, I have played it longer than I expected.
Its definitely the kind of game that you need to take time to understand what's happening before you know what you're doing, something which I actually admire when developers do so and not mention every detail the game would have.
Something I'd want in the game though if you could: would want the routes to passively show how many ships there are on that route, I find it slightly irritating that I have to look at every route to make sure it has max number of ships in it.
Whether or not that would be strategically smart, I wouldn't know but very impressive considering its solo developed, well done!
As has been pointed out, the lines are too short, doesn't feel like I can do anything. It's very tedious to click/hover on each and every planet to see production/demand -Create icons for demands/production and have them visible at all times. That would make the game way less tedious to play, and much more smooth!
I relly love the concept here, I will definetly play this if it gets polished more :)
So difficult to draw the trails. The route cannot follow when I move my mouse a little faster. I would suggest clicking the two planets and then automatically a route between them is generated.
Great game! Kept me occupied for a solid half hour, which for a jam game is quite rare! Its the music isnt it? LOL
Over all fund game, reminded me a little of starsector, just on a minimal scale. Great job on the game, I hope to see it expand in the future!
Issue wise, I didn't run into any issues, besides the trade route length became quite useless after 2 or so upgrades. Overall all, the SFX were fitting, i like the amount of zoom control I had over the map. Art was in line with the style of the game. Good job!
Great game it is a lot of fun and its a great concept that is very well executed. And it has a beautiful design. Great work!
Fun concept! Very addictive. The music and SFX also fit the game play quite well. I did have some feedback though:
The drawing mechanic feels very clunky from a UX perspective. Initially I was very confused why the trail kept fizzling away, maybe a quick pop up message saying that it was too far for my current capacity or some such would’ve been very helpful.
The drawing system is also a bit buggy. When I drew a route initially, it just never displayed the outline to show that it created successfully. So I kept trying to draw one but it never worked (because there already was one there, just hidden to me unless I placed my cursor exactly on it.).
The initial world spawn felt like it didn’t have a compatible set of planets within my reach at all. I don’t know if you had checks in place to make sure this didn’t happen, or if I just didn’t look hard enough.
I think overall most of my gripes are just a lack of polish. Otherwise, neat game!
Thanks for playing and the feedback!
The max route length leads to a poor experience and will be removed.
Hmm I will try to reproduce you issue with the route not spawning... Maybe it was invalid and red so difficult for you to see? Either way I will investigate!
The initial spawn has a trade station that accept scrap and ore. Scrap being a supply good on almost all nearby planets and ored being an unlock but is present on all of the rocky planets.
But the discovery of these is a poor experience and one that I aim to improve.
Thanks 👍
I played 30 minutes and got $2.5m, so it kept my attention a long time. I liked that it was slow paced, no rush to it, nothing bad happening to worry about. Nice relaxing music (I turned it up!). I would have liked to be able to right-click on a trade route and delete it, instead of needing two left-clicks. I could see people playing an expanded version of this game.
I think it's a unique idea with various elements to manage, like planet compatibility, asteroid hazards, fuel, and ship quantities, which adds depth. I agree with other comments that the progress feels slow, but overall, it’s a solid game with an interesting space theme! My game also uisng a space theme please give it a try :D
This was a lot of fun. Kudos for adding a bulk buy button. The one thing I would change is having the routes not disappear when you've drawn to far, since It always takes several tries to connect planets that are a valid distance. Excellent work!
Loved it! Very strong "one more turn" feel to it, even though it's real time.
Once you get the hang of it, this game is super addictive. I could see there were lots of different approaches to reaching the money goal, which I appreciated, and by the end, it's super satisfying to see the gold bar fill up. Got lots of suggestions, but that's only because I want to see more of it.
Amazing job, especially for a solo programmer!
You went super crazy on this one, we can feel that ahah but once you understand everything correctly the game is quite cool !
