I like these combined mechanics, like having your scale affect your attacks and also serve as health. Nice and simple game that's fun to play!

Solid game! It felt responsive and "juicy" to play and the progression was good. It was cool that you managed to put in a boss as well! Very impressive! :)

Wild Scaled West is a fun and engaging game with a clever "built to scale" mechanic that adds a unique twist to the classic shoot-'em-up formula. Your power increasing with your size creates an interesting dynamic, and once I realized that you regen to scale 1.01 after taking damage, it made progressing much more manageable.

The shooting feels solid and satisfying, making it enjoyable to take down bandit camps and face off against the powerful final boss. The pixel art is simple but clear and effective, perfectly complementing the game's fast-paced action.

Overall, the game offers a great balance of challenge and fun, with a cool mechanic that sets it apart. I had a blast with it and it is heading to my GMTK 2024 collection.

Super cool. The screen shake/recoil makes it feel super responsive. I like the way getting bigger is a blessing and a curse, because you have more ammo/health but you’re also a bigger target. I could see this being a really challenging but fun online multiplayer game in the future!

This is super satisfying. I really like the idea that you lose scale if you shoot. It really adds this extra layer of having to balance your playstyle. I was a bit confused at the beginning about how the scale affects the player, though. Maybe that could be something to add to the itch page.

Besides that, I think this is a super unique idea that I haven't seen so far.

It might be interesting to see what this can be turned into if you do plan to keep working on it. Good job!

Interesting use of the theme! It's a bit hard, I shoot too much and I'm too little with almost no range.
Just need to improve the art and it will be a fun game.

Quite unique and pretty fun, I will say I am not the biggest fan of losing scale from shooting but it doesn't really take away from the fun, just gives us more of a challenge, not always a bad thing but it could probably use a little bit of tuning. Overall, I like what you made though, definitely one of the better top down shooters from this jam. Nice work!
