Great idea! Really creative giving a logic to those "infinitely wide" inventories. I also wanna point out knight's commentary, adds a layer of narrative although it sometimes is difficult to catch what he says (I like how you added the "objects teleporting away" interaction). Good job!
Took a bit of figuring out but it's a cool game! Although, I kinda suck at it :P
I think I definitely overdid the difficulty a bit... I thought it wouldn't be fun if it was easier, but I realised you get used to all the little quirks and tricks of your own game and forget what its like to play it the first time, and then also I just had no time left to balance it properly
I really like the concept, and it's executed pretty well. You have to be alert and thinking ahead for the future, making sure every item is as far from the center as possible. I think I got to a score of about 12. Nicely done, especially for your first complete game by the sounds of it!
Fun idea! My best score was 11. I found it a bit hard when I lightly bumped into items and they flew across the box, perhaps it would be easier if the items were a smidge heavier.
Great work for 48 hours! Very interesting game idea too. I found it a bit hard to navigate around the objects in time to move things out of the way, but I guess that's where the challenge comes from, I just wish it didn't ramp up quite so fast. Otherwise this was solid.
Yeah I struggled a lot with balancing it to make it both not impossible but also keeping the hectic feeling- I only just realised now that you mention difficulty that I could've easily implemented two or more difficulties but I guess you live and you learn. Thanks for the feedback!
Wow, this is really cool! Very clever core mechanic and nice implementation. The blue outline was a really nice visual que, and I liked that you could see the items flying into the box. The physics were a little funky, but it would be a miracle to have anything else in a game jam! I feel like the character sprite felt out of place, maybe it could be a little goblin pushing things around or something. Overall very fun and very original :)
Thanks :) I appreciate your appreciation (..) of the visuals of the outlines flying I felt it was really important for the feel of the game so I tried many many things and it ended up being really simple, that was definitely a good learning experience. Yeah the physics..... oh well, as you say game jam lol. I did try one or two things for the sprite but it always looked odd because of the combination of the side view background and top-down box, but totally a goblin would've been cool and very on-theme. I wish I had just put googly eyes on the character sprite though would've added a bit of life at least. Thanks a million for the feedback!
Was a little difficult to understand what I need to do in beginning. But I like concept of managing inventory in this way, very creative :)
Extremely well thought out gameplay some amazing stuff 😁
I LOOOVE how it has a small story like its not just a random thing that takes stuff out of the way, You are inside a players inventory and all that it's really creative. Sticking and rotating was a bit complicated but I guess that's skill issue. I didn't like the box texture but how do you even draw a pixel art top down box? I also can't believe this is your first game. Props to you
Thanks man! Yeah the box was pretty much a product of me searching online for a half decent image that was actually top down and not angled, I would've loved to draw it myself but going into the jam I knew I would have to use mostly assets as I have only very recently even tried to get into art of any kind so I could've ended up spending half the time on the art and not being happy with the art and giving up. Sticking and rotating tbf is really hard in the confined space I still mess it up all the time lol
I bet this a featured 20 if the theme interpretion can be accepted.
if a 6/5 in creativity was ok i would vote 6
Ahhh you're too kind! That would be absolutely amazing but I would be extremely surprised if that happened. Thanks a million though
It derves it! Thank you for replying me, reminding me to collect this game!
The screenshots didn't really pull me in, but after playing the game I can say I enjoyed it a lot. I think it's well executed! Also a creative idea, well done :)
Thanks a million for the feedback! Yeah it's my first game jam (also game) and I didn't really think about how important visual appeal is when your competing in such a large pool. Probably reflective of like a thousand indie devs experiences lol. You wouldn't have any tips for improving the screenshots by any chance?
I think giving the situation there really isn't anything to do about the in game screenshots, getting your game to look good takes a lot of time. Some people chose to have a custom "banner", which could be appealing if it doesn't mislead the player. (As in I expected the game to look way different from the banner)
Fair enough, thanks for the reply, kind of reached the same conclusion after thinking about it yesterday, but asking random people on the internet can be a great source of wisdom sometimes ;)
Very creative. I like the unique twist on the bullet hell-like genre. Well done! :)
This is so clever I love it. Why doesn't this have more rates?!? My high score was 16. Pretty tough once things get really cluttered. I was constantly getting my dumbass trapped in my own organization
:) Thanks a million! Yeah keeping any semblance of order gets pretty impossible pretty fast lol, but otherwise it wouldn't be half as fun
