This was shorter than I expected.^^ I like the idea, it reminds me of There is no Game. However, I have the feeling that it stops just when it's about to begin. :P This kind of meta narration works better when there are several iterations, and the game could actually go way crazier.^^ But this is a jam, so, yeah deadline have to be met. It's still a surprising short experience!

Developer

Yes, it's short. The original project was twice as long than that but then I realised I'll will not have enough time to achieve it in its whole. So I decided to put my effort in the graphics and the writings to have a taste of the originial thing even if it's short. I'm currently working on a post-jam version that can be twice bigger than the original plan, but it will take a few days to produce or more depending of my free time.

Very interesting concept and nice visuals and sound design :)
The only issue I usually have with this kind of meta level game is knowing when it's actually over and there is no more content to reveal^^

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Yes haha I'm aware of this issue that's why I have put this "You win !" line in hope it will be enough but it seems it wasn't lol.

I like the concept, I had a laugh playing it, but there was not much of it to really rate it. It was like one gig and that's it. I would like to see where it can lead to, when given time, though. So good luck in the future!

lol this was fun

The BIG in the title becoming small after the first reboot is comedic genius

The idea was really fun, it's a shame you didn't had time to add more.

This game captures what can be the most frustrating but ultimately one of the most defining parts of this game jam : not being able to play the dang game!! Really charming I liked the music especially :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you for this kind comment!

It's a clever concept, but not much is done with it due to the lack of time, which is a shame. There's a lot of potential here for a There Is No Game-like game. It's still pretty funny though.

Excellent work, I really enjoyed how the scaling mechanic on level 3 interacted with the player. The art and music of level 4 was beautiful.

Would be very grateful if you tried our game!

Is there something beyond the "You win!" screen? I can see that the "SMALL" text is clickable but it doesn't do anything...

Developer

No, there's nothing beyond that. As I mentioned in the game, I didn't have time to make more.

Yes, the "SMALL" text is clickable and was supposed to do something, but I didn't have the time to implement it, sorry!

I win !
So short but so funny, it's sad you didn't have more time, I would have loved to see more. :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks!

I think I'll work on a post-jam version so people can experience the original concept!

hahahahahahahahahaha this is so funny! great job

Submitted(+1)

haaaaaaa so sad that you had no time to make it "work" (if I can say)

Still stayed stuck on the final twist for 30 sec due to my impatience (the ones wo finished will understand xD)

Nice concept!

Developer(+1)

Haha sorry that you ended up being stuck!

But I'm glad you still enjoyed the experience!
