How does your game fit the theme?
Baldy Mausa's size increases both with time and every move he makes. As Mausa navigates through each level, his shiny bald head grows larger, adding a unique layer of strategy. Players must carefully manage Mausa's growth to reach the goal before he becomes too large to fit through the door. We hope you enjoy guiding Baldy Mausa through this fun and challenging adventure!

Neat idea! In practice the scaling was more of a time limit than a real obstacle; it would have been neat if there were things you could only go through if you were a certain size. I liked how you mixed it up with the twists on the levels, although I think the size bar was out of sync with the maximum size you could be to get through the portal. There were times I got to the portal before the bar filled up and I couldn't go through.
Good work!
Thanks for the feedback. I'll try to polish up a little bit more from next time.
This game is genuinely fun and quite difficult. I pitched a similar idea during our ideation phase and I am super happy to see someone execute a scale-with-movement game so well. The race to the finish level was great and so was the one where Mausa would gradually be pushed downward. AND, the reverse input levels were crazy. Excellent job.
I'm glad you enjoyed the game! Thanks for the feedback...
I like the idea! It might be cool if Mausa's size changed more drastically, potentially taking up more than one tile at a time... And maybe the goal size could change as well? I liked the random effects in different levels, though it might be good to give the levels names/hints that identify these gimmicks in case it is not clear to some players. And I like how some levels were more about strategizing your movement while others were about going as fast as possible! Maybe Mausa could also gain different abilities/stats as he grows, too. There are a lot of ways you could develop this idea in the future!
Ya I also thought of some of these ideas but wasn't able to implement (I didn't think of naming the levels based on the abilities). Thanks for the other ideas and feedback tooo!!!
Fun little game. Not too much nuance to the size mechanic, but it did serve its purpose as both a time and move limit to challenge the player into navigating the levels efficiently.
Switching the player’s controls around for the last two levels made for an interesting twist, though it could’ve been communicated better (perhaps simply via a quick menu screen hinting to it between levels), as it initially made me think the controls were broken.
Not sure whether the gradual falling during stage 3 was also intentional. I suppose it must’ve been. Such a mechanic was kind of interesting, but its implementation here felt a bit janky, and more like a bug than an feature. If it’d been ironed out more it could be nice.
Good work overall. Trying to navigate the tile-based levels as quickly and efficiently as possible was a fun challenge.
Yuppp I should've conveyed about minor twists in each levels clearly. Also, in level 3 the mausa will go down one unit after some amount of time which does not count as movement so in this level you can use the help of gravity to reach down without increasing mausa's size.
Thanks for playing!!
Pretty simple game with a straightforward premise. It does seem to have a couple of bugs, some minor, which are fine, and some major like not being able to finish levels. I got stuck on level 5 or 6, and when I restarted the game I instead got stuck on level 3, so that was unfortunate. By getting stuck I mean, I wasn't able to exit the level despite my size not being too large. Other than that, I could have used some sounds, and some incentive to pick up the gems.
Cute game though, and a good effort (I see your 48 hours!) I just wish I was able to finish it, because I would if I could!
The size of mausa also changes with time in some levels so that's what you are missing in level 5 and 6. I should have conveyed it clearly :(.
