The gameplay could be polished a little, but the idea is awesome!
I am very bad at it, so I keep trying! Challenging and innovative, hope to see it with better visuals improvements in the future.
The game's concept and design are awesome, though I kept on failing to hit the 50% filled mark nearly every time. Excellent job on the game!
Surprisingly tricky to cover all the area, especially with the odd shaped bunny sponges. It would be helpful to have markers for where I placed sponges before.
very silly
This is such a great example of less is more. So simple but really effective. Amazing job!
Very cute! An interesting take on the theme, while plays simply and intuitively. Good job!
A very interesting take on the theme :) The gameplay was fun, simple and nostaglic! A very unique interactive experience :)
So cool! I was racking my brain each reset to figure out the best spots for the sponges. I really enjoyed the challenge of thinking about how the sponges already placed would grow and how I could balance maximizing their size by not blocking their growth while still placing all of the square sponges I needed to.
Great concept and execution!
Oh neat, actually somewhat this is the first time this jam I saw an idea like this, pretty fun! Might be nice to randomize the initial sponge layout a bit and maybe have other items than square sponges. WebGL version got a bit laggy for me, but admittedly my GPU is kinda horrible, so that might be on my end. Pretty neat overall!
Super creative! 🐇 I feel like this is something a lot of kids did IRL 😊 I liked the scaling aspect a lot.
This was a super fun implementation of the theme, I really liked the game feel and trying to guess where the sponges would fill up the most space.
Congratulations on pacing this at the perfect "I should be better at this" difficulty level that made me play it for way too long
Very cute game, and very impressive job with how polished it feels, especially for a 48 hour dev time, well done!
Although it's a bit difficult, the idea is pretty creative !
Well done! The game is simple, yet fun and pretty creative!
Simple yet effective concept! And I love the soundtrack! It's so nostalgic & charming!
This is an ineresting game, I enjoyed the challenge to begin with. however, I found it frustrating after a short time trying to rmmber exactly where I had put them last time and how to tweak the position this time. Also the game tells you "well done" even if you fail the level.
Could be a very satisfying game to play with some tweaks
Fun concept!
You don't see spatial awareness puzzles often and watching the sponges grow is very satisfying. I think its a good fit for the theme of the jam.
Feedback: It is pretty hard to tell where you placed sponges on the previous run and I think the game would be greatly improved with the ability to see where you had placed the last batch. Additionally, I also think a reset button would not be a bad idea in case the player miss clicks.
Visually, I think the game is very readable and its easy enough to understand what is working or not working with growing the sponges but not so easy that the solution is immediately apparent at a glance. The sponge growth felt fair and behaved as expected. I was never left thinking a sponge should have grown more than it did. As a side note, the benefit of the sponges and the water as a motif is it makes it really clear exactly how well you did visually and I think that was a really good call.
Overall, good work!
This satisfies my OCD.
It's really difficult to reach 50%, especially because it's hard to remember which sponges were placed effectively and which weren't (I had to take notes).
If the game, during the positioning phase, showed where the sponges were placed in the previous attempt, it would be much more enjoyable!
Additionally, I have the feeling that the percentage calculation isn't always accurate. I once got 52% with a placement that seemed to cover much less space than previous attempts.
In any case, it's a great idea that could turn into an excellent mobile game.
