Loved this game, really nice visual and sounds. The randomness makes it interesting but it never feels like you lost because of the game, so thats really cool, making it easy to play but with a high skill ceiling

Developer

Hi! Glad you enjoyed it! Took a lot of time to do all the polishing and game design.

Art is adorable! Really enjoyed it and kept just wanting one more try! Really nice job!

It's so creative idea on theme! Sushi roll is cuuuute.

Really cool idea and I enjoyed the freedom to choose where to place your dishes.

Developer(+1)

Glad you enjoyed it! Yes, we thought the freedom is important because it means that players can create strategies :)

Creative way to have the dice drive the game.  I didn't get it at first and was just trying to jump over chopsticks, but eventually figured it out and it was enjoyable.

LOL, feels good to have someone enjoying our game. That is true, the learning curve of this game is quite steep. Me and my teammate will try to solve this problem in the future. For example, we can add a little tutorial level, where the game tells you how to play.

Great presentation and a really cool idea. The randomness never really feels unfair and drives the gameplay well, cool entry!

Developer

Hi there! Thank you so much for playing our game!!! Glad you enjoyed it! I (the programmer) added some logic so that the dice do not spleef you or give you too much challenge.

Gameplay is a bit... unusual. Art looks very good.

Developer

Hi! Thank you for playing our game! Glad you like the art!

Crazy good graphics and animation and the gameplay is also pretty nice. In my opinion, there would be a lot of potential in this as an endless runner (one where you are constantly forced into moving), but there are a lot of ways this could be really good.

Developer

Hi! Thank you so much for playing our game! Glad you like the visuals and the gameplay! Thank you for the suggestion, we might add a big person on the left side of the screen that moves to the right and would eat the sushi if the sushi collided with that person. Again, thank you so much!

This was a really cute game with pretty amazing graphics. Unique take on the roll aspect.

A really cool game that you put a lot of polish into! I loved how snappy the contols are and how well-presented the game is. It's a really simple concept that is still super challenging to play and the music is amazing too! Great job!

Developer(+1)

Glad you enjoyed our game! Thank you for the positive feedback regarding the music and the controls(I am the programmer and music composer), you just made my day :)

This is very beautiful and addictive. Maybe you could make the chopsticks a different color that's more visible on the background so I don't impale myself on them quite as often? ;-)

Developer

Lol, yes, I spoke to the artist about the chopsticks being too invisible during the jam, and he brightened the sprite already. Clearly it’s not visible enough lol. Thanks for playing! :)

Thank you so much for you support, every comment means a lot to us. Our team of two spent a lot of time on art and visual effects. We also tuned the control of the character many times so the movements feel natural and snappy, so your comment really reminded us that our hard work is being apricated.

I found the learning curve to be a little steep at the start.  I kept forgetting what the different dice rolls meant.  The character controller felt good and the presentation is great.  Really impressive with original music and everything in 48 hours.

Developer

Hi! Yes, I agree that it's a bit difficult at the start, especially remembering the meaning of each dice roll. We (a team of 2) just couldn't come up with a good idea to solve this issue. Glad you enjoyed the music :) And glad you love the polish/character controller. Me and my teammate argued over the character control a lot, and we tuned it so many times. We wanted the controls to feel sharp, responsive, and light at the same time (it's a sushi roll).
