Really fun game! It was fun to strategize and try to counter whatever the AI was doing. The art + music + sfx was also great and really complimented the vibe
Also "wanted for crimes" was extremely funny for some reason (even if it might have said war crimes I still read it as that and laughed for a bit)
Cool concept, I had fun figuring out the best strategies, though I do agree there are more interesting mechanics just asking to be added to this! Great presentation, I really felt like I was in a Western with the music and sound effects! Can't wait to see what happens next for this game :)
I would appreciate if your team would check out my submission and provide any feedback you have, I am trying to gauge interest to see if I should continue further development too!
Thanks happy to hear you enjoyed playing our game. An update is coming post jam so feel free to come back and see the improvements. I will check out your game now.
Awesome, I will!
We just released the improved version at https://roguebrain.itch.io/crapshot-saloon-deluxe-edition!
Great game, would have liked more strategy elements, like not knowing the order of the opponent's actions, or being able to reorder my actions instead of choosing them in order! Thanks for the great submission.
Thanks for your feedback. You can reorder locked dice at any time as long as you don't click battle. We are implementing 2 harder difficulties, endless mode, and other visual improvements post jam. I'm glad you enjoyed playing.
Very polished game. Took me a while to understand the "deck" mechanic, but that makes the gameplay more interesting once I got it .
Loved the game! The atmosphere is just right and the gameplay is fun. Enjoyed myself strategizing with dice. What I wondered was whether the opponent's cancel took effect. The dice could have some added visual effects to be more clear?
Great job, team!
Thanks for the feedback! We considered giving the opponent rerolls and having them use them when you use yours, but opted for more deterministic enemies so you could strategize your turn more easily. While this makes it easier, we felt it would have been too frustrating setting up a cool turn in response to your opponent only for them to reroll and change it all.
Now I see you're talking about the Pocket Sand effect. Yes, the opponent's cancel goes off as Pocket Sand always has priority. We have added more of a visual effect for when a die is used that will be present in the update after the jam.
Cool game! I liked the art a lot, and the animations were really satisfying to watch! I also like how you addressed the rng factor so it wasn't frustrating to get a bunch of undesirable outcomes. There's also a lot of strategy involved, which I'm a big fan of. Overall, I had a lot of fun playing. Great job!
Nice idea!! Great art :D
Love the art and with more time I think the concept is great!
Be sure to check it out after the jam, we are planning an update with new difficulties and an endless mode!

the game is of great interest)
Great concept that makes for an interesting and deep gameplay. Loved all the art!
Fantastic concept and game & well executed western theme. Would love to see this fleshed out!
Thank you! Be sure to check it out after the jam is over, as we are planning a big patch containing new difficulties and an endless mode.

nice game and neat concept.
great job.
Neat idea! I like the strategy/planning ahead needed to win. The western theme was very consistent the whole way through. And I liked how, instead of using dice rolls to randomize outcomes like in other games, here you control randomness a bit more and you can use it to refine your desired strategy. Great work!
Thank you! Part of the design for this game was making sure there was no such thing as a "bad" dice roll; every face has the situation where you would want to roll it or not want to roll it.
I like the art and the concept for the game. It was kinda hard to get the hang of just because there is so much to learn. Good entry though!
Thanks for the feedback! We'll be working on the rules section to make it more intuitive. Glad you had fun anyway. :)
Nice entry! Great presentation and super fun idea. The AI was sometimes a bit stupid but I still needed a few tryes to win. I enjoyed playing your game very much.
Glad you liked it! We're going to improve the AI for after the jam, but sometimes the AI gets bad luck too. :)
Really well done! The art, the sound and the game design is really great! It's a full 5 for me :D
So glad you liked it!
Really fun and great music. A lot of similarities to our game, which is another Western-themed dice builder where you fight ruffians in a saloon 🤠.
I one-turned the last two, had a pretty nice deck at the end. The enemy AI could use a little tweaking and the UI could be more tutorial-y, but other than that I wouldn't change anything! And bonus points for pocket sand.
Glad you liked it, and thanks for the feedback! When designing the game, we wanted to make it deterministic so you could fully plan around a turn, but I see what you mean (there's no reason the opponent should block at the end, or load a bullet after shooting an empty gun). In the next update after the jam, we are going to include UI fixes as well as two harder difficulty modes, so hopefully that leads to a lot more necessary strategizing.
Overall nicely polished and made game. The trading system didn't make that much sense to me but apart from that nice work!
Thank you for the feedback, we will try to clear it up when we push out an update. You are able to trade one of your dice for one of your opponent's when you beat them. To do this, you click on a die to put it in the trade area then click confirm to trade them and progress to the next foe.
The game is very intresting and fun a better presentation woud be perfect as it didn't relly beco clear to me unteal later.hopefully this helps.
One of the best games I've played this Jam. Nice aesthetics combined with deep mechanics that encourage strategic play and replayability. I could see this getting highlighted by GMTK if it can get some more attention.
I also love that it was Yahtzee-inspired. My game was an attempt at a Yahtzee inspired RPG battle system - check it out if you have time..
So glad you liked it!
