fun idea, just a shame it plays in silence.

Developer

I agree! With just 2h more I would have had time for that haha ^^

Thanks for playing!

This was a great first golfing game ever for me, Goodjob on making fun and unique events that occur depending on the side of your side that is on top, altough the food one might be a little bit to blocking, but I might just be bad as hell in this game considering it took me 6 strokes to finish the first level lol

but great game goodjob!

Things I love about your game :

  1. concept is pretty neat and something unique
  2. low poly, heck yeahhhh
  3. Winds Howling (I see what you did there you sneaky witcher fan😉

Things that can be improved :

  1. Camera control is too janky , like it's too weird sometimes it goes right , sometimes left
  2. I got a bug which is when I rolled, it used the last effect that was used not the one that was shown on top , like it was wall in my 4th turn then on 5th I got bouncy but It showed me wall then on 6ht I got wind but it showed bouncy castle and so on, I think array pointer got decremented by one lol
  3. then each time when a effect shows up you zoom in, display it, then zoom out, I personally feel that is not necessary , you can add a effect display in UI somewhere in corner of screen and that zoom in - zoom out just adds a delay and disrupt gameplay
  4. also some music

Other than that I fing loved your game, please develop it into a full fledged game , may be android , it has potential😁

also I got stuck somewhere in a level and forgot about that R thing to respawn , may be you can add a detector which can detect if a player is stuck from all sides and give a pop up to press R

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing and for the suggestions!

I definitely wanted to fix the cameras and make them smooth, but I didn't find the time for it :( Thanks for pointing out the bugs, I'll try to repro them! For the detector if blocked, I'll have to think about how to implement that...

I agree with both the sound/music and the animations, speeding up gameplay would be really good so I'll reduce/skip them.

I might develop it further, if even just for the fun of it :D

Thanks!

This is a fun take on dice golf! I love how the dice changes the terrain/difficulty, good job!

Thank you for playing!

Super good idea. I've seen a couple golf games but this is the best. Only suggestion would be to only do the close zoom on the dice the first time for each ability. It slows the game down when it does it every time.

Developer

Thank you for playing! I will actually try your suggestion, that sounds good!

I enjoyed  a lot. You should continue after jam!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I hope I'll find the time for it :)

Very nice mixing of golf and dice. I never think something like this. It might be most unique idea in this jam. I just can say that waiting time after each roll a bit... annoying ? :/ but otherwise its a perfect game Nice work ^^

btw im stuck here :D

Developer

Thank you for your kind words!

I wanted to add a skip animation feature for afte each roll, but it didn't make it in the short timeframe!... :(

Oh and you can press R to respawn when you're stuck ;)

Dear elFlashor!

What a great, simple to understand, and very sleak-looking twist on the game jam theme. I think you did a great job at many levels. But, I never thought I would say that, I hate food now. Even if "Another brick in the..." blocked me the whole way during the first level.

Have fun with the rest of the jam and other jams as well!

Thank you very much for your kind words! I wish you a lot of fun you too! :)

great idea and execution! 😁

Haha nice one! Thanks for playing :)

fun game I played another one like this but I think you carried out the concept better

Developer

Thank you :)

What a nice idea making the die giving obstacles for the golfing game!  The variety of the banes makes the game very enjoyable.  Also good job on the assets, they look very nice!  I also love the fact that when you get the food bane sometimes it rains sushi XDD.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your kind words! I wish I had had more time to add more banes/effects, maybe later! ^^

Really cool game, love the concept, the execution was great, the art-style was pretty, one thing I didn't like was the stroke counter being in the middle of the screen blocking my view. Good job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks!

Oh, this is a bug, the stroke counter goes to the top left corner after a few seconds normally, I'm sorry that happened!

Submitted(+1)

I liked this! The snowball effect of getting effect that make you roll extra times which gets you extra effects is frustrating in the best way possible. Well done, I want more!

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much! And thanks for playing :) I'll potentially make more of it once the game jam voting ends ^^

I like the low poly art and the way the sides change the gameplay is pretty fun.

Developer

Thank you for playing! :)

Submitted(+1)

Looks great, plays surprisingly well (the different sides actually affect the game in interesting ways), and pretty easy to figure out how to play

Developer

Thanks a lot :) It's rough, but understandable I hope ^^

Submitted(+1)

This game is so freaking satisfying! The art style and camera movement are amazingly done. I liked the idea of golf but after every stroke, something happens to you. It's a unique concept and if you really wanted to, you could make it into a full game.

Developer

Thank you very much for playing!

Damn... took me 25 strokes to finish. Prety cool game tho, at first I loved the camera zoom after each roll but if you are as bad as me it gets annoying and repetitive rather quickly xd. Other than that, great game!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! I wanted to add a "skip animation" button, but didn't have time to finish that up... Ah well!...

Submitted(+1)

Very engaging game. Reminds me of a game called "What the Golf?" Don't know if that inspired you or not but the concept of the dice giving you some random events every time you roll was really creative thinking. You could easily expanded it by adding more events if given enough time. A little suggestion maybe adding more extreme obstacles or event to make it harder would be nice because the current events aren't that bad. Can't think of any other negatives. Just a fun game with the little amount of time you were given. Good luck on the jam!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I actually didn't make the connection with that game until a friend pointed it out ^^

I actually wanted to add way more effects (and way more levels xD), but didn't have time unfortunately!

Very nice blend between golf and board games, lovely game buddy.

Developer

Thank you, and thanks for playing!
