I managed to softlock myself by dying and grabbing the cube, respawning, then getting hit by another rocket- no cube in sight and the rocket had me pinned down hahaha

I like the idea! It's a little difficult to control, and most puzzles are only intended to be solved with one specific ability so it's 30 seconds of trial and error before you get the right ability after you've figured out the solution. It might be interesting if rooms were structured to work with a few different abilities, that way the player could react to which ability they rolled if it wasn't what they planned. I found the green brain power's jump ended up solving a few puzzles in ways that didn't seem intended, and I felt clever for it, which is exactly what you want from a puzzle game! Beautiful polish, and I really like the voiceover "ability" lol

I also got softlocket like that. Other than that, it's a great game

Developer(+1)

Abusing powers was what we hoped people would do :D We really wanted to add more sentience puzzles (green brain), but alas... game jam struggles

Rockets made me mad, i want them gone! haha but not surprised of your outcome. love your stuff.

Amazing game, the execution is amazing. It was a proper, real, full product.

I'm impressed.

(The rocket was meh as a game mechanic)

Had a blast tho (pun intended)

Developer

Thanks bb. Your game was great too

Uploading browser Version Would Have been Nice..

Developer(+1)

I wanted to so bad, but it came down to fixing some bugs or adding webgl. Stressed for time!

Cool idea

Simple but good graphics

Have some bugs but I know it's a game jam project

Maybe do some improvement and it can be released to steam

anyways move or die is great

ok I'll not leave more stuff that's not related to this game.

the mechanic is not introduced, the game breaks if you grab the cube while dead, some puzzles are solvable just with parkour, no checkpoints

Highest vote I gave so far, 14/15 total stars

I see potential, with of course some improvements on the way the die works

Very fun game! It really reminded me of portal. I really like the concept!

Great application of the theme. My favourite is how elegantly space and perspective were used to introduce the controls and reveal the early rooms.

The puzzling is fun and works, the voice-over is a nice touch that adds to the polish. Is that real-time GI btw? great visuals.

Love this game! It's cool to see some 3d puzzles here!

Interesting concept. Throwing the cube was the most annoying thing. Wish I could just orient it the way I need. Also I hate turrets. I can't even block them with the cube. What use the companion cube is if it can't block rockets??

Developer

You can throw the cube at rockets 😂

But don't do that! You're suppose to treat your companion cube with respect

Submitted

With respect? Last time I remember it's my personal nuclear shield.

Really clever and pretty presentation!

Reminds of of Antichamber and Portal, I think you've integrated the theme nicely and I enjoyed every second of gameplay! The homing missiles are a perfect fit.

I would have loved a visual and auditory cue when pressing and holding left click to charge up a farther throw, took me a bit to figure out I could do that. The audio levels overall are quite low, but one can always turn up the volume. :)

Developer

Yeah, audio was super sloppy and rushed 😢

The final build reduced the rocket explosion volume by about 70%. It was actually deafening

love the game ! The rocket hitting the glass wall gave me horror feeling . And the ‘developer commentary’ is brilliant ! Great stuff !

Developer

Thanks for playing my man!

Really clever idea! I love how you turned the weighted storage cube into a die with abilities.

A rocket destroyed my cube twice, forcing me to restart. But the abilities and chambers were super cool besides that! Nice job.

Developer(+1)

If the cube is gone, you can walk away a bit and it'll respawn back at you. But it's not communicated very well! Thanks for playing mate <3

Submitted(+1)

Love the game! The amount of polish. You can see all the tarodev tutorials here, haha! 5/5 Love it!

Developer

I may have stolen from myself a few times :D

Had fun playing it until a rocket hit me and bugged out, hardlocking the game. I like the abilities and puzzles, but I found that conceptually rolling a physics-based die can be frustrating as the solution to a puzzle, as it can lead to the player rerolling over and over to get the angle right, even if they understand the solution. Reminds me a bit of an action game called Lost in Random, which had different sides lead to different abilities.

found the secret vent lol

Developer(+1)

We planned to put "the cupcake is a lie" up there :P

How can you come up with a game like this in 48H.
So cool !

Woa.

Really love the idea of the Portal inspired block puzzle games mixed with the sides of the cube actually having a meaning. Fun puzzle game with some great mechanics. Got rocketed too many times to count. Nice one guys!

Developer

The rockets were the weak point of the game for sure. But too late to replace them 😭 Thanks for playing!
