Very cool and novel idea! I think you could add some depth to the game by making the movement of the characters depend on each other. So for instance, there could be a rule that says if the king moved forwards, the queen has to move backwards, etc. That would make each decision carry more weight. But great work!
Oh, and I wanted to say, there was a UI bug that made me unable to read the How To Play text (all the text was superimposed on each other), but you made the game so intuitive that I learned it immediately, which I thought was cool.
Good job, the art is simple but cute. As mentioned before it wasn't always clear to me where the characters would attempt to move but i think overall it was a great experience!
I like the concept! It have a lot of potential
Very nice concept with cool artstyle! Was fun to play, well done!
I really liked it! Felt like a classic board game but singleplayer! Also, great minimalistic sprites. As Corablue mentioned, the directions are sometimes confusing, it would be cool if the color of the blocks around the selected entity changed to show which way is "forward" and which one is "backwards". Overall, great concept and game :)
Great visual style and use of the theme, gameplay felt a bit slow though. Very intuitive once the game got started!
Great concept
Neat little board game. It looks great. Your little pixel royalty are somehow regal- even the prince and he doesn't even have a crown. Nice work.
I like the idea. At some point, if you can get the killers on one side, and the family on the other, it's just waiting for the right dice roll. You can always keep the killers away. I think Corablue's idea could help players move away from that strategy, and keep the tension up.
Really fun boardgame concept. Forward and backward were initially confusing until I realized it meant clockwise and anticlockwise. The end gets monotonous. Maybe when enemies meet they conspire or multiply to prevent you from clumping them together? Maybe you roll two dice, where the second one allows you to choose your space to speed things up? Waiting for a single die roll for 20 minutes can feel bad as is though.
really appreciate the feedback, and love your idea to make it more interesting. will surely look into that
