This game's just very charming and well executed. The art's really nice, and the gameplay of pure betting on odds was enjoyable. I'll be coming back to this from time to time, nice work.
Happy to hear! I'm considering making a game built on this foundation, but longer and with progression. Thank you for the comment and playing!
Fun game although there seems to be a lot of nurses in the wild west
If I had had the time, I would have curated the events - right now they appear totally randomly. Thank you for playing!
I love text adventures so this game is really cool ^-^
But man it is dark:
"Your caravan-members are a-thirsting for food. -> Let them eat... eachother"
My caravan has died many time.
The art looked great and I had much fun with this won.
Cool work!
Thanks so much for playing!
perfect 5/7 must play, try it before your neighbor
Does exactly what is says on the tin. Well done!
This feels a lot like the origin OT except that there's more transparency regarding the odds of success failure. But I'm not sure that's a good thing? The original left so much up to (child) imagination and this demystifies that a bit. Not a bad thing, but an unexpected observation I had while playing.
Fitting remakes of classics like these are a great jam exercise. They may not end up the most creative, but they can teach you loads about building a game when you've got such a clear design to follow.
Good job on capturing the essence (and frustration) of the original. Keep making games!
Thank you for the feedback! I've never actually played Oregon Trail, so I'll take it as a good compliment when you say I've captured the essence.
Great adaptation of the classic concept:D Dark humor is amazing) Nice job!
Thanks, and thank you for playing! :)
LOVED IT! amazing concept and realization, i need more of this hahaha! keep it up man!
Thank you so much! :)
Roving cannibal marauder simulator
Loved the dark humor. Plenty of the results had me reacting with "JFC" with a grin.
The overall presentation is spot on. It feels classic. I'm a huge fan of this character as a die mechanic and would love to see how it could be used.
I lost my firestarter early on and never found another one. Maybe that's all in the cards or maybe there's a gap in the events?
I would have liked to have coded some system to pick out the events, but as of now, it's completely random. So yeah, you can unfortunately be cheated out of some events, or see the same over and over.
But I'm glad you had fun! Thank you for playing and for the feedback :)
Great work on a classic concept, the probability readout and dice breakdowns were a nice touch. I was seconds away from making it to the end when I died of hunger! Tragic.
Truly tragic, but thank you for giving it a go, and thank you for the feedback!
Talking to the rabbit to get him into the group was the best decision I made :D
Would eat bandits again.
My hunter missed a shot and immediatly died - 10/10, Darkest Dungeon 2 we deserve.
Haha, thank you for the brilliant comment, and playing!
This was awesome! Started getting desperate for food so when a stranger rolled up on his horse I blew his brains out. Shortly after, another stranger offers to join my party for 50 gold, I accept, and he runs off with the "food" I just got from killing the other stranger. Then I end up hunting two bison in a row and then the game ended. I kind of feel bad for shooting that guy.
Anyway, great game, lol! I really liked how you implemented the skill check system. Art and music matched the game perfectly as well. Great work!
Amazing! Thanks a lot for playing :) I'm happy you had a positive experience :)
I really liked the concept and overall vibe of the game, I got a pretty good run going, but unfortunately ran into a bug and couldn't continue, even so it was a good time, really well done.
Sorry to hear! Can you explain the bug?
Sure: I had a bandit encounter, which worked fine before. If I remember correctly I chose the option which requires the deer icon. I think I succeeded the roll, but the game just sort of stalled out there, I was left with the 'you encountered a bandit' message, but an an otherwise empty textbox. It was about 60% of the way along the trail at the top.
Weird! But thank you for feedback and playing!
