One of my favorite entries for sure! I really enjoyed playing this one and even finished it. Took me about 30 minutes and it was nice figuring out how all the plants work.
I was also surprised at the amount of levels the game had. It was nice being greetedf to a second set of levels after growing the tree the first time.

Small note, because I don't know if this is how it should be: When the flower is still "extended", you can't hop on it. It took me a few jumps to realise that...
Yep, they have a cooldown period - specifically so you cannot use a single flower to get higher bounces.

Wow, really loved the graphics, amazing, the puzzle design is great, and the polish level is solid. To say something "bad", I feel the character physics is a bit stiff. Anyway, a GREAT game, good job!

Great game! The art is nice, cute and cohesive, but the best part is the gameplay and how much content you managed to put into it. The main mechanic is nice and well executed: The levels are well thought, and there's some constant progression in the game. While I disliked that getting killed by a slime late in a level sends you back to the beginning, the game was balanced enough to not make this frustrating. The addition of the plants-vs-zombies lookalike plant, but with a gun, was an unexpected funny touch. There was a point however, where I tried to reach some platform by bouncing on two spring plants back and forth. I'm not sure if I just didn't execute it properly, or the game just didn't allow it, it was not clear.
The core game mechanic also reminded me of a level in Spyro where you had to plant either bouncy mushroom or a platform daisy, to reach the top of some tower. Not sure if you got inspiration from that :)
Overall this felt more like a small completed game than a jam entry. I had fun playing it. Congratulations!

Sadly, chaining jumps on flowers is a little buggy at the time (especially in browser version), I will fix it in an update once the jam is over. Wish I could've caught that before. :P
I gotta admit I don't recall that mechanic in Spyro, I only ever played the first one though.

You probably mean the one that you needed to drop the seed on the ground without falling yourself, I've seen some people struggle with it a bit, I should've shown better that it's a mechanic.

Peashooter! :PThe artwork is consistent. I like the puzzle mechanics. I think there could have been some minor tweaks to player movement. I personally prefer spacebar to my jump, but i feels like you wanted all input to be handled using only WASD. Nice work!

And yeah, wanted the game to be extremely easy to pick up, without any tutorials or control schemes. In hindsight, I probably should've allowed the player to jump both on space and on W/Up Arrow.
I like how clean the art is, and the puzzle mechanics were cool, however, I did get stuck on the third level. (browser).
Oh, why? Is it because you couldn't figure it out or a bug?
theres a part torwards the end of level 3 where (I think) your supposed to jump from one flower to the other then exit the level. when i try to do that, I phase through the second flower, or I successfully bounce off the second flower, but i don't get enough height to clear the second level. is this a bug, or am i just dumb??? :D
OK! so I went back to play that level, and it looks like there,s a chance that jumping off the second flower WILL give you enough height to clear the level, but there's a chance you wont get enough height. so the second bounce works as intended sometimes. I'm thinking it's a bug.
Oh, we were typing at the same time. xD
But yeah, it's a bug, pretty sure I never had it happen during testing and I'm not entirely sure what causes this. Again, thank you very much.
That sounds like a bug to me. You are supposed to just bounce on two flowers, so don't worry, you're not dumb.
As a matter of fact, I just went into the browser version of the game and tried it and it does seem to fail sometimes. :/
Sadly, all I can do now is to recommend downloaded version or to try to do it again a couple of times (if it always fails to bounce higher, then that's a serious problem).

Yeah, seems there is a bug in the browser version in which bigger bounce from the flower (or any bounce) might not occur. It's inconsistent. The exe version should not have the same issue (or at the very least I couldn't encounter it so far).
Ok, i just download the EXE and just stop to playing when i fished it completely.
You made a masterpiece and, for me, your game is the best of this jam untill now.
