Creepy world! I included it in my GoGodot Jam compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)
I didn't really get this game, but I still enjoyed it. It was really creepy and would be really fun to play at night. I could never find a gun to take care of those creepy dudes though. Would love to see this expanded.
Very Creepy! Great job creating the atmosphere in this game.
oh man this was intense! you certainly captured the scary vibes lol, my only critisim would be to change the font, put in something more readable, sometimes simple in fonts is all you need when it comes to narrative story games, otherwise great job! great game, I jump easy when it comes to horror games lol
This is very scary, liked a lot the visuals even tho it's really hard to see from how dark it is. But really cool tho :D
Thanks for playing.
You can turn on the flashlight by pressing F.
lol, i'm really dumb hahaha
HOLY SH*T !!!!!!! Wow!!! Okay frist of all this is terrfiying in the most amazing way. You managed to create so much ambience and the sound design was impeccable. How did you do that!? Even when reading the description for the game alone you had me at "Every time you sleep the house grows"
...
THE HOUSE GROWS?!
Omg. I was done. I was like this is great. So creative and so neat. Very well executed. I loved it! Congrats on a great game! (:
My favorite part is the lightning and the interactible objects. Really good mood in this game.
I really dig the mistery and the ambient, but I'm a real loser confronting the enemies. The top-down look is amazing and opens for all the object interaction. Nice use of lightning also. Good job!
You got me startled, well done. The game blends 2D and 3D together flawlessly and has very good screen effects. At times I couldn't see anything because of sun glare on the screen, so a brightness setting would be very welcome. Loved the Mockia-phone.
Thanks!
The game is completely 2D though. I don't know what you mean by sun glare, but if it's too dark, you can use F to turn on your flashlight.
Oh cool, I completely missed the flashlight feature. By sun glare I mean the real sun outside my window :D
I was shocked by the monster! It has a very nice and suitable environment for a horror game. I was fully bring into the scene. A very good use of light system, it makes me always want make sure that the lights are switched on~
Thanks for playing!
Very nice game! Love the top down view and very original concept. Great work!
Very nice graphics and atmosphere. I like a lot the lights in this game. Firstly I struggled with controls (how to interact with objects) but then I found description ;)
Nice game!
I'm glad you liked the lighting system I made. The default Godot lighting is still too resource intense to use in large numbers, so I made a simple "single pass lighting system".
This is going to sound weird, but my favorite thing is how it looks and feels was you open a door. That's a mighty fine door system you have there. You definitely nailed the horror feel and I really like how you handled highlighting interactable items with your mouse. Pretty solid game.
Thanks, I took inspiration from Bunker 16 for the sound design, but I didn't have time to implement all the spooky sounds I wanted.
(btw, don't tell anyone, but the doors are just two rigidbody2d nodes pinned by pinjoint2d nodes)
The graphics are very beautiful. Congratulations!
Nice horror vibes! Your controls are complex enough that you might want to explain them in game too. Love the smoothness tho!
Thanks!
I was going to put instructions in the menu, but I ran out of time for that, let alone a tutorial stage lol.
I feel you! Next time I think merely a "<key> to interact" text when hovering over something interactable would do
The graphics are very good! It reminds me of Dark Wood. I first played without reading description and I was wiped XD
The hurt sound seems like a man doing karate!
Thanks!
The sounds came from one of those free Unreal asset packs (it said I could use them in other engines lol).
This is AMAZING!
I first played it not reading the description, I was wandering around the house and was so scared of every single thing. It was only when I got attacked by a leaping monster who I was unable to shoot because I didn't know to press 1. I also think this could really be expanded upon.
Great game!
Thanks for playing!
I didn't have time to make a tutorial level, so I had to explain everything in the itch page lol.
The light scheme and the sound design are cool!
