Godot Version
v3.2.1
Source
Yes sure, but probably not a good idea to use it as a reference, I have no idea what I'm doing :-)
Game Description
A spinny space shooter. Choose your starting ship and survive the waves. Every second wave you get to buy an upgrade or extra lives. Wildcard "Make It Up" for some generated sound effects and randomized levels that increase in difficulty. Wildcard "Another's Shoes" for being able to select between three starting ships. Note: Upgrade AutoFire is not implemented yet. I've not used Godot or made a game before, so it's a bit rough!

Fun game. Enjoyed the shopping mechanic, and the different ships.
Very clever interpretation of the theme! And super fun - after the first upgrade screen, I was hooked, but I only managed to make it to level 10. :-) Visually it was well done too. Very, very impressive for a first Godot game!
The permadeath thing was quite cool. Gameplay was fun, but I was glad for the sound toggle. The player's fire sound was quite grating. An enjoyable game for sure :)
I really liked the going-round mechanic and with some more graphical polishing it could be really interesting. There'a s lot of room for improvement, but considering it's your first game it's a really good accomplishment as it is. Great job!
Nice game, auto fire did not work for me in chrome.
Congratulations on your first completed game jam.
Thank you! Yes, apologies, AutoFire was not implemented. I should probably have just left it off the menu, but forgot to remove it.
Great game, especially as a first Godot game. I enjoyed the mechanic and gameplay. Going around the top was super confusing, but that was to be expected.
Thank you. I was considering a different control mechanic, where you would press in the direction you want to up in, for example, pressing UP on keypad and you would rotate (via shortest path) to the top, but this one is the first one I got working, so it stuck :-)
This has a great arcadey feel to it, and I love that I can pick a starting loadout, but then upgrade to get the abilities of the others. I just wish there was some more variety in the enemies
Thank you! Agree, more enemy types was on the todo list, but I kinda ran out of steam :-(
yeah I guess that's kinda how it goes
For your first jam? Awesome work! For your 10th? Still awesome! That's how much I like this game. Think this is something you should expand and work on more.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. I might work on it some more depending on other responsibilities.
Fun game. Really impressed by the upgrade mechanic between the levels, it adds a alot of depth to the game.
Really fun and simple game (not in a bad way). Kept playing it.
Love the upgrade in between levels.
Only thing I would add is shooting when you hold the space-bar ... now my finger got tired ^^
Hahah, thank you Oskar! And.. shooting while holding the space bar was going to be the "Autofire" upgrade that I didn't get to!
Reminds me of my childhood playing Tempest :D
Nice take on the revolution theme. Ah why didn't I think of this. The only thing that could have been better was making the UI like less cluttered. other than that it was really nice. Maybe more enemy types would have been nicer as well. Something like enemies that ram forward then move back. Maybe even make enemies change their orbit size like go into inner rings or move into outer rings. Really like it though. Can't believe its your first game jam. Good job :D
Thank you very much for the feedback! I agree completely. The UI needs work, and I was planning on adding some more interesting enemies, movements and bosses, but didn't get the time to do it unfortunately. Maybe next time :-)
