The graphisms are just excellent. The monsters look really good, and there is a 3D Dice animation, I was really positively surprised. The gameplay is OK, I've had fun with the game.

But sadly, the music is pretty bad :/ . Changes in rythme and strenght make it difficult to anticipate, and therefore to understand.

Adding a little bit of response from the game would have been a good thing too.

For a first game jam, this is pretty fine.

Cards and Game in general looks great, but MAN! Lack of feedback on anything feels bad. I thought that game crashed when I clicked the button to roll the dice, but turns out there was some lag and just no feedback at all.

There is node called: TextureButton, where you can different textures for states of a button: normal, pressed and mouse over button (hover). Check it out. It will make everything feel 5x better.

Gameplay is pretty unappealing, because player have no impact on the gameplay. It could be played in some auto mode where player roll dice automatically and nothing will change.

The best way to change that will be to add more dices and dive player ability to store them for later use. Check Tharsis game: https://store.steampowered.com/app/323060/Tharsis/

For the first game jam it's fine. I hope to see more of your games.

Would you come to rate our game?

Nice game. But I couldn't understand the game mechanics from the game it self, until I read the comments. The art was good.

I had the same problem as AshesElite (half of the game screen is hidden in the top), and that's happen with other games in the jam, but they leave an option for full-screen or resizing the screen game, I had to higher my display resolution for it to show the full game.

Overall the game was enjoyable. Nice job guys!

I couldn't play due to window size and it was stuck at the top of my screen. No one else had this issue I noticed so that sucks and is probably an issue on my end.
If it turns out I'm not the only one and there is a fix that I'm too dumb to have figured out then I'll happily come back and play/rate :-)

I like this idea, good job going with 3D in a 2D game (or the other way around). I wasn't exactly certain as to how the mechanics worked, but I still had fun. Also, I think the music was a good fit for the game, but it's difference in tempo and style threw me off a little. Nice use of the art.

Thank you! 5 and 6 on a die is a hit!

Nice concept. I loved the art and I loved the music. I also love card battler-ish type games, so this one stood out to me.

I think the game itself is hard to understand and fun have with. There are a lot of things on the HUD  but there's no feedback when you press them - not even the dice. But I did like the dice animation.

Thanks for the game!

Nice graphics and interesting idea.

There is a lack of feedback when we click on the dice, I expected audio or graphical feedback at least on this main mechanic, this would help understanding that my actions are the ones having an effect on what's going on.

I am still unsure what was happening gameplay wise haha. I seem to have defeated some enemies, but I don't understand the link between my dice result, the damage the enemies take or not, and their dice result and the damage I was taking. I was really confused while trying to play.

For your next one, maybe try to improve on the player feedback.

I also didn't see much of the family theme here, maybe I missed something?

I see you put a lot of work into this! That's really good. Too bad it didn't show that much in the actual game!

So you are going to keep working on this game and improve it?

If you are participating in other jams, maybe try to lower the scope of you game design. I have the same problem and I always end up with something half finished ^^.

Good work anyway, keep going!

Developer

Yup. We are going to finish it.
