The game was amazing. The graphics, music and SFX are very good. The game play was fun. But I think you focused on the "Pet the dog" card more than the theme it self.
Overall the game was enjoyable. Nice work!
So cute ! Bark at people is fun ! Congratulations on the 3d assets :)
Thanks for playing :) Yeah JestemStefan made a really nice and productive work, I was impressed and stressed by his speed of delivery XD
Hey. Got a lot of fun barking at pedestrians. Very challenging game btw.
Like the art style. Low poly trees are looking really god. And different color materials of the clothes enriching the picture.
Thanks for playing! We originally had a tutorial level but not enough time to polish it so yeah the skill cap is a bit hard unfortunately.
Super fun game! Absolute blast! Very creative, and that background song really helped capture the absolute chaos and insanity of all of what's going on!
Thank you Isacc for playing and rating our game!
Our composer HexenMapper did a really good job with both music and sound effect.

Wow this one really surprised me! Lot's of polish and in 3D no less! All the character models and animations were great. When first started playing I really thought cars were going to run over the people but thankfully they come to screeching halt. I did end up getting grandpa stuck in front of a car that forever stopped moving, but thankfully my score was already high enough to pass. The game over screen made me chuckle too.
Thank you for playing our game!
I'm glad that you like pacifistic version of the game, I was really pushing the idea of NOT including car accidents in the game.
The "Car/Human deadlock" bug is pretty common, but we can't upload the fix it until voting period is over :c
I hope you still have a lot of fun playing our game!
Fun game! The music was awesome, so catchy it's still grooving in my head (unfortunately I can only rate up to 5). The 3d models (especially the dog, he's a good boy) and the sound effects were very nice and fit very well in the fun atmosphere.
My main issue is that I believe the gameplay is missing some polish. I don't know if its the dog that's too slow, the bark range, or the grandpas giving up on jogging to early, but half of the time I try to do something smart, I end up creating more traffic, its rather frustrating. So I have found another solution: STOP TRAFFIC COMPLETELY! And currently, I feel that it is by far the best strategy, just put the kind doggo in front of a car right after it spawns, and stop the lane for all of eternity. The car only honks once, so you can just stand there (and do a stare battle with the driver?) and look at the hoomans managing there life without you. There is still a second lane in the second level, with some cars, but I had a better score this way that trying to be play properly.
I still won with a margin the second time, so I really don't feel the game is too hard when playing normally, just that there is an incentive missing to push you in a more interesting strategy. And not just multiple honks to discourage you from blocking lanes, but a way to clearly play better, to anticipate cars, etc... It's unfortunate because I found the idea very creative, and I'm sure with slightly more tweaking it would have been much better. Maybe with more visibility for when cars are coming? With timers / traffic light indicators?
Well, I seem to be the only one nit picking, so its probably just me.
This issue could also probably have been solved with more levels, with more complexity, (and more lanes, so you can't stop them all), where you really have to think of a strategy to pass the level. (But I guess you never have enough time during a jam...)
I also notices some tiny bugs: If your dog runs too far top in the first level, and tries to come back, he can't: He has just entered a parallel universe just 10cm bellow the real one, and can't will never be petted again!... (or until the second level.) Sometimes cars stop if you run behind them. And there is a loop for the winning jingle.
Still very cool game! I might have overdone it and detailed to much my issue, so it might seem like I didn't enjoy it, but its actually because I got too invested and frustrated by the incomplete potential. ;) Anyway, great job for a first collaboration.
Thank you for the notes!
You have a lot of good points, many of them were noted during development, but we ran short on time.
We were aware of the "dog being used as a buffer" strategy, but decided to work around it and include it.
Instead of having the Happiness Meter decrease with every honk of a car; we decided just to have it be the first honk for prototyping, and instead fix the issue with level design.
The plan was to create more levels, and with each level the "Dog Buffer in Front of Traffic" strategy would become less viable, as more roads, curved roads, and a higher spawn rate would be introduced.
As you can see we had to cut many of these stretch goals short to keep within the time frame, but it's good you identified some of the design problems we also had; as it means we were on the right track during development!
(We also had ideas around each Human having their own Happiness Meters, and Family Names that would display to create more of a bond; but these were also pushed back due to time constraints.)
Thank you for playing and thinking about the design/strategy, it means a lot.
(I'm glad you were invested, I think with the above changes it could have been even better)
Cool little game using easy-to-understand concepts!
Thank you for playing and reviewing, I have also played your submission and left you some notes!
I'm glad the concept was easy to grasp and play with.
Great game, at first I didn't know that you need to help people to go across the street so I keep barking at people :P
I'm glad you figured that out :D Learning by experimenting is the best way to go!
This was a ton of fun and I really liked the art and music too! The scat singing in the music was great. The dog was extremely well done. The car models remind me of a low poly speed modeler on YouTube named Imphenzia. Don't know if it's a coincidence or not but... I really enjoy using some of his techniques in game jams myself.
The gameplay was great as well. Almost like a strange human Frogger or something, very interesting! However I ran into an issue, on the second level a kid got stuck in a car and no one could get by in that lane. I actually found it to be extremely funny!
Overall a really great entry guys, very much enjoyed it!
Thank you minic-h!

You are right with Imphenzia! I watched his video few months ago and I practice back then a little with car models, but most of a job was done from reference images (Google: "low poly cartoon car")
This bug is known to us, but I thought that we fixed it for good🤔 (it was much worse then this). I guess in right circumstances it comes back. Good job at breaking the game ;)
Great game! Fun and challenging - the music fits well and I love all the visual effects (especially the dust trail the dog leaves behind).
Thank you for your comment StromKMD! I'm really glad you like the game! This was our first cooperation. We did a lot and with a little bit more of free time we would be able to add much more juice to it. It was great learning experience!
That music is catchy as all get out, I like the art, and the dog bark sound was just really enjoyable. :)
It was challenging, but I felt like it was just the right amount for me. It took me a little while to understand how my bark affected the different people, but once I figured it out it was smooth sailing!
Thank you for your comment. Our composer HexenMapper did the best job he could.

I'm glad you figured out how Barking mechanics works ;)
Really nice game. A bit challenging which is a good thing :)
Thanks for playing! Yeah lots of people said that. I’m a bit surprised because it feels too easy to us but that’s the bias of having developed the game :D
We had a tutorial level planned but we cut it out because we did not have time to polish it and it’s best to show everything you’ve got from the start!
Nice work guys! Music is great, and I really enjoy the shadows of the old man projected back on to the buildings in level 2 -- not sure why. :)
It's a good game idea, but the difficulty curve wasn't working for me. I was able to pass level 1 by doing seemingly nothing, then I just wasn't organised enough to pass level 2. As others have said, a tutorial and a bit of refining of the difficulty will help a lot.
Looks like you made the 3d assets yourself too? Good effort in only a week of work.
Thank you for your comment SporkTank!
We had tutorial level, but it was later removed, because we overscoped a little. I agree that learning curve is steep and one more level if medium difficulty will be perfect.
I did every model, texture and animation by myself in Blender. I'm glad you like it

Yes HexenMapper (Tom Jensen) made great tracks, with inspirations from Katamari Damacy (e.g https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EhKMDjfToEc ) and others. Glad you liked it!

Nice to hear and thanks for the rating.
I will play your game later today. I’m streaming some games from the jam later today at https://twitch.tv/vikfro, so if you want to hang in chat and see my play-through live feel free to come by. It should start around 4pm BST!
That was really well done! I loved the sound design, the modeling/animation, and the overall concept. It took me a while to figure out I had to bark at people.
Thank you for playing!
We had a short tutorial level which was cut due to time constraints, but glad you found out how to bark eventually.
Really Awesome Game!
It looks amazing and the game mechanics seem well polished.
I love the visuals and the effects, they look pretty solid.
The music is also amazing, this kind of noir vibe music in the menu and then the more funky music in-game.
Gameplay wise It was kinda hard to keep the cars from honking and I was not sure at the beginning what actually determined the happiness in the game, maybe a little tutorial would help :-)
Overall outstanding job!
Thank you for playing our game! Your comment brings smile to my face!
