Really cool mechanic to have the projectiles orbit too!
Too bad the levels are super short. Would be more fun if the enemies struck back.
The graphics look very nice. A bit lacking on the audio/accessibility side. Overall solid entry, especially solo.
Check out https://github.com/GodotWildJam/gwj-accessibility-scripts if you need some rebindable hotkeys and volume sliders :)
Fun game :D I did realize at some point that I was able to win the game very easily by spinning around and shooting as fast as i can because the bullets travel so far and the enemies don't seem to explicitly come for me. I did really like exploring multiple planets though, the viewport and controls were really nice and felt very 'action-y'.
I think with some more unique mechanics or more difficulty added to this, it could be a really fun shooter! I'm also a huge sucker for earning credits ... :D Thanks for submitting!
Very nice visuals and cool sound design. Fun concept, but you can win every level by just flying randomly and spamming the laser. Maybe stronger enemies (in later levels), or enabling enemies to shoot or leave bombs would make it a bit harder.
Base concept is fun, take the basic "side-to-side shoot-em-up" concept and mixes it up a bit by making the level on the base of a sphere, and I'm always impressed to see 3D graphics in a jam game. I just wish there was more variety in the levels, as there wasn't much difference between any of them aside from visuals. Perhaps some kind of environmental hazards? Lava bursts from the surface of the lava planet, large mountains you need to avoid on the mountain planet, etc. The game was also fairly easy, since you could just spam your gun and hit enemies without really even seeing them. The 3D graphics were nice, but the lighting was a bit too dark imo and it made it hard to see sometimes. Overall thought it was a good length for a jam game and enjoyed it though!
Fun game! I had this issue however that the ship occasionally stuck on one direction. Had to press the direction keys multiple times to un-stuck it. Also, it's very fun that the bullets/laser beams travel around the planet, but that meant I could just stay where I was and shoot in all directions until everyone was dead.
This game follows the “less is more” motto. Simple but quite fun gameplay, the mechanics work very well.
Perhaps making it more interesting by adding friendly fire shots and/or aggressive enemies would be a good idea.
Simple and solid concept. The game is short and I had to play it, but It has one design issue. For my first planet, I literally killed all the enemies before I even saw them. I know the curve is supposed to go all the way around the planet, but maybe if the shoots could bounce off after 1/4 of the way, the game might be more interesting. Everything else seems to fall in place and synergize correctly. Good job.
Everything I had to say has been said, the game was really fun, but I beat every level by rapidly firing while spinning around, which isn't a bad thing. I actually really enjoyed spinning and watching the enemy counter go down :)
Love the visuals, love the orbiting mechanisms! As everyone said, you feel that so much more could be done with this concept. If you can put some more time in it, you might end up with a full-fledged game!
The concept is really clever, but it feels like there's so much more that could be done with it. As it is, you can win every stage by repeatedly firing and waiting for the enemies to fly into the ring of bullets. Perhaps you could need to maneuver around obstacles while flying over the planet's surface? Or maybe an enemy is shielding itself and facing you, so you need to shoot behind you and let it orbit the planet and hit them in the back.
It’s so simple, we had fun playing right away! I liked the low-poly graphics, and I played until I cleared the whole game. It would be nice to see more enemy threats added.
Really enjoyed the orbiting bullets! I echo everyone else so far, wish the enemies presented a threat so there was a way to lose but otherwise it was pretty awesome! Loved the art as well!
Great graphics, I really enjoyed playing the game.
Really really fun, It left me wanting for more! The shots orbitting the planet, the presentation, the overall smoothness of everything, a very solid and fun game with potential! Maybe the enemies could present an actual danger to the player at some point! And spawn randomly, really liked this.
Thanks for the feedback! Great ideas. I wanted to get the enemies shooting lasers back at you and random spawns, but you know how it goes! Never enough time lol. Glad you liked it :D
Loved the visuals. The shots orbiting the planet was a nice touch, but I wasn't able to test if you can hit yourself.
As a suggestion, the tutorial level should give credits to the next stage right away, or at least show a message saying "Not enough credits" when you try to click a locked planet.
Very good entry, congratulations.
Great feedback. I totally agree with the tutorial level giving enough credits. I was in crunch mode so I forgot to make sure that the credits system balanced out lol. Glad you enjoyed it!
