Impressive amount of systems. I always enjoy entries that are small worlds to explore. I managed to complete the game without visiting part of the caves: how does one get there? I got to the chest and boar, but couldn't reach the rest. Good job, keep it up!

Hey thanks for playing through to the end! I left that stuff there as a bit of teaser, you can't (as far as I know) access it. And if you did the NPC would ask you how you got here. :)

Plays great, everything fits and so much content. Great work!

I can't take credit for the art, just had to put together the excellent work from -> https://analogstudios.itch.io/

Thanks for playing and the feedback. :) Can always expand these types of games in lots of ways!

I thought many times about stopping but I couldn't put it down until I got it all right haha.

Developer

Very glad to hear! :) Thanks for playing..

Wow this is amazing for a jam game!

I HAD to complete the ritual once I got started!

Developer

Glad it hooked you enough to play through! :) Cheers.

It's so cool! I couldn't get past the monkeys quest but it's unbelievable how you managed to do all this in such a tight scope. Much respect!

Developer

Thanks for playing! :) The monkeys take 2 strikes to kill. A little sound effect is the only feedback which probably isn't enough in hindsight.

It was very well done, fits the theme, fun to play and pleasing to the eye and ear.

However I kinda messed up by clicking the ESC button to try and pop out a setting menu and it just sent me to the start screen to start over :(, it also crashes if clicked again.

Developer

Thank you! Yes I was torn about leaving that ESC feature in there. It's handy for testing but of course can catch people out. :)

Great submission. Very fun way of conveying the theme. Would believe it if I was told this was a fully released game. My only criticism is that it would be nice to have some control over the volume!!

Developer

Thanks for playing and your feedback. :) There should be a volume controls for music and sfx in the menu.. I hope they were working!

a lovely and polished entry, as usual! you did a good job of creating this little area for us to navigate and find the clues needed.

the only minor thing is saw is that it seems that no matter what sacrificial animal is asked, and no matter which one i bring in the ritual area, the boar sprite always shows up on that screen. (but the one you bring actually matters, it only looks like a display thing.

but overall, an amazing jam game!

Developer

Hello! Thanks for playing.  Oh that's a good bug catch, thank you! So hard to catch everything in a gamejam. Glad the game was self-explanatory enough to get to the end, and even enough brain power left to spot the bug :)
