Cool game! I was instantly captured by the menu screen and got a good feeling.
I would have loved to get notified about taking damage. And the enemies were a little slow to kill, which I guess should have been solved by buying an upgrade. I didn't really feel overpowered after spending 150 gold though :D I want more monsters!
I like that you use some glow and stuff, really cosy and good atmosphere!
Well done!
Thanks for playing! A few more monsters are coming soon along with some balancing and other changes/additions!
Really cool game, I like the graphics and the sound and music fits well to it. I wish there would have been more mobs or also a Cross Attack functionality. Very good game and nicely polished. Well done!
Thanks! hmm I will brain storm some ideas for a cross attack and see if anything sticks :)
Fun game !!!, Cool concept and art style was cute , nice game I like it
Great game!!! .
Fun game - looks nice and I really liked the enemy squeaks when they took damage.
Seems a little strange but I think tweaking the procedural generation to be a little less random might be a good idea. I had a run where I managed to collect over 200 coins without a curse stake, shop option, or treasure puzzle. It did feel good once the shop arrived though and I basically cleaned him out of upgrades, haha.
Thanks for playing! Agreed the randomness was a bit much, I had tried to change it up before uploading but it was introducing new problems so it was changed back at upload. Already have a small workaround planned with a little update that is coming after the jam period is over!
Fun idea, fun implementation. Had fun with it, and the art style also helps.
That creature's teeth tho, oh twas nasty.
Thanks for playing! The curse of not brushing for an eternity was cast upon them xd
Fun and concise. I found the music and the pace of gameplay very relaxing. I think maybe there could be more visual/audio impact when you're taking damage. But other than that, I like it
Thanks for playing and thanks for the input! I have a minor update ready that adds a bit of a visual queue for taking damage along with a few fixes and changes from other suggestions!
I saw your screenshots on Discord as you shared your progress bit by bit. Good to see the final version here! Great art and cute sound effects. Well done!
Thank you!
The premise has some bone and the mechanics are there and easy to use! I wish there was some sort of feedback when you get hit, though. Good entry overall!
Thanks for playing! Great input about adding some feedback, currently working on a small update post jam and will make sure to have a bit of feedback for the player getting hit as well as adding a short cooldown between damage like someone else had mentioned.
Fun game! Cool concept and art style was cute too. Great job on the submission!
Thanks for playing!
The style and music gives me a bit of original Binding of Isaac vibes, which I love!
It was pretty fun, and like the dual benefit/deficit nature of some of the curses.
Well done!
Thank you!
This is such simple fun. I actually noticed a lot of small details that made attacking so satisfying:
1. I loved that you can shoot the fire but the fire stayed around a while. Then you can bait the enemies into them.
2. The animation where the fire comes out one by one. That made the attacking feel pretty impactful!
I did wish there were more variety of enemies at the start, but it was still very fun.
Thanks for playing and glad you enjoyed it, the animation for the fire coming out is actually a single flame that just spawns multiple times depending on the player's current maximum to be able to scale up :)
more enemies are 100% being added in an update after the jam is over!
Easy to start playing and overall very polished, well done !
Thank you!
Pretty cool game! I liked that you included a bit of story/introduction before the game starts, and the game itself is fun to play. Loved the art!
Thanks for playing!
Hey really liked your game!! The treasure room puzzle gave a small but great visual cue on the centered box as to the order of pressing each pedestal - took me a few tries to understand what it meant but was stoked once I got it!! Enemy damage states were great and all the art was really nice! I would consider making it so the devil can't be spoken to unless enemies around are killed and I'd create a damage grace period as I lost multiple hearts in quick succession!!
Great entry, found your game engaging and addicting!!
Thanks for playing and glad you enjoyed it! Thank you as well for the input, both of those ideas are really helpful and I will probably have both implemented during an update post jam!
I love this game
Thanks for playing!
I can't figure out what I'm supposed to do in the cursed treasure room ?
the goal is to get all the lights on the bottom of the center box to light up, after clicking all four buttons the lights either light red or green in the order you pressed them to show if you had the lights in the correct order. Thanks for the input, I may need to adjust the feedback of the buttons a bit, and also thank you for playing!
