This was fun to play! I think I figured out all minigames except for "The call of the void". Overall I liked the different difficulties, with some easier minigames mixed with ones you had to figure out first.

Yeah I sadly ran out of time to include a better tutorial. I'm glad you liked the concept though!
So in case you are interested, here's a bit more explanation how it should work: The goal is to map the whole island, not only the landmarks. They are just there to have good points you can orient yourself with. The idea is that you look at a landmark and see "oh that's at 70°", then you open the map and place the ruler with the small gray circle on the landmark, so that it rotates around the landmark. Thats also why the degree display is offset by 180, because it assumes you measure from the landmark. If you want to see an example, feel free to view the video on the game page.
Thanks for playing!
I had fun playing this! I especially liked that the time pressure didn't come from a traditional clock, but was instead integrated as the torch that is slowly burning out. One small nitpick, the low height of the tunnels was making me a bit dizzy. I had to make two breaks due to this. Other than that I loved seeing another game where the lost knowledge is the map itself hehe :D
My strategy included:
- use many "Finding Rare Treasure"
- try building one single large stack by keeping that dreamer asleep with "FloatingThrough Space" (don't worry too much about the other dreams, finish them fast)
- play many "Flying" on the large stack
- use "Climbing a mountain" on the large stack
- nightmares are only a problem for the small stacks, so I try to finish them before the nightmare reaches the end
- however we want some nightmares to reach the end in order to not finish the large stack. We want that alive as long as we can
- if we do have to finish the large stack to avoid waking up, we will start a new large stack after that
This was really fun! The gemeplay felt really good, and I loved the music and overall aesthetic. The click sound was quite hilarious since it matches my physical mouse sound, so it was like a small echo each time I clicked.
Only one small nitpick for squeezing the cursor: It is possible to just hold space the whole time. Maybe there could be a kind of stamina bar that is used up by holding space, so one has to be careful when to use this feature.
Thanks! I spent way too much time on the blender theme ahaha, so I'm glad you liked it! That sadly came at the cost of other themes, as I had to rush to get the office tiles in before the deadline. After the voting ends I may add more details to the office theme. And maybe add some more themes too.
Thank you so much!
I agree that that the different action icons are hard to distinguish. I already made a github task for it yesterday but sadly I didn't have the time to change it for the jam
Thanks for the feedback! It was definitely planned to allow some more interesting stuff, but that has to wait until I have time for a post-jam update. There would be collectible power-ups you can use, including one to "reroll" a dice (rotating on up axis) to choose a different face, and another powerup that acts like a rope hook to grab edges much higher up.
Thanks for the kind feedback and ideas!
Some of the ideas are definitely planned (see also https://itch.io/post/6226994) but I like your idea to force players to keep moving! The spikes sound like a fun concept, and I think I could also add some kind of rising water or lava so that there is some kind of constant danger.
I liked the concept, and it was fun to roll through the level. However I somehow was unable to proceed to the next level. I collected all dice but the yellow teleporter didn't do anything, did I miss something?
Edit: I did miss something, the other comment gave me a hint. So after I really collected all different dice I was able to proceed to the next level. It's quite hard to controll the dice but lot's of fun! Could use some sound effects, but other than that it's quite impressive
Thank you! Yes, I had plans for this but no time ahaha (working alone). I might do an update after the voting has finished with things I originally planned:
- powerup to re-roll a dice
- powerup to use a rope to hook onto a grip much further up
- score depends on the dice side you climb (a rolled one is harder to climb, so more points)
- obstacles on some cubes, for example trees growing out of them
- more visual diversity, different dice materials, torches on the tower, proper background
