Game Description
Nearing the top of a mountain, the only passage left is an old abandoned lift, fittingly named scrap heap. Keep the elevator healthy, but over all else keep your self safe. The elevator has been here long before you and will be long after.

How does your game tie into the theme?
you're tasked with repairing a malfunctioning elevator

Solid! Very well polished. Gameplay mostly worked well all around. The artwork was cute and I liked the intro and outro music. I had some difficulty with the last wave in particular; things felt a little unbalanced in terms of how often machines would break compared to how long it took me to repair them. Besides that, though, this was a delight!

Developer

thank you! I actually almost decided to make the last wave harder, definitely happy I didn’t! Yeah if I could go back I think adjusting for an easier experience would have been the way to go

Very nice presentation and sound fits as well. Unfortunately, I could not get past wave 2... The objects flying around did not seem to have any pattern and did not even appear to be coming from machines that needed fixing. Am I missing something?

Developer

huh sounds like a new bug, unless you didn’t see the wrench icon. I’m assuming gears were flying at you? That means the machine needed to be hit with the wrench

Here's my devlog explaining how this chaotic mess went :)

Game looks and sounds really good, overall really professional!

On the gameplay-side the game can get quite frantic quite fast, and juggling tools and setting off fires is pretty funny gameplay-loop. It does get quite difficult though after first wave, with the amount of fast projectiles and all.

I think one thing that would really ease things out on graphical presentation: The bubbles indicating what tool is needed could have been placed differently, as you need fewer steps to see what is needed on the bottom than what is needed on the top etc. Having each bubble be more aimed at the side where the player is would be a nice quality of life upgrade imo.

Developer

thank you so much! Yeah I definitely think that’s a good criticism, I liked having mobility with the extinguisher so I knew I needed a good sized room, but maybe ideally if the damage notifications showed up on the edges of the screen when out of frame it would have been better.
