This game is a difficult twin stick shooter, with blood as fuel for your guns. You can choose between a pistol (one shot every 5-10 seconds, 2 hits to kill a basic) or a machine gun (automatic, 5 hits to kill a basic). Health hearts are generously distributed, but give only a small amount per consumption.

I did not make it past the first shield enemy. The crown may be strong, but that guy is stronger.

The game is a competent showing of Godot basics. I do not believe this is a strong contender, but this will earn you some respect as a coder. Come back in January, and shoot higher!

Loved the Atari style graphics here, the whole thing reminded me of those real early videogames. The game was difficult at first, died to the 3 guys in the 2nd room like 5 times before getting past. Not sure if there was a limit on the crown power-up, but I do think it could use one for simple balance reasons, the game became far too easy once I got it.

The visuals were pretty neato, and the shooting sounds were crunchy and satisfying. For some reason the pistol wouldn't fire so I went with the machine gun instead. The crown was a really cool addition that made me want to keep exploring so I didn't miss anything. Great work!

i liekd when i got the crown and i shot 1 mega billions bullets per second  very cool, With how big the level was i feel like boosting the players speed will help with the pace of the game, also after getting the crown/fire powerup, it makes the rest of the game trivial, other than that though i had fun thank u

This is tough! But I did keep coming back for more. The fish eye and chromatic aberration effects are super cool, and the music is really well done. I think there are some interesting interactions you could play with by tying the light to your health/ammo as well if you wanted to keep developing this idea.

Interesting concept... I like that your health decreases when you shoot from your armor. Loved the visual effects in the text messages

thank you! actually it’s a very simple effect to make. you can recreate it using this shader: shader_type canvas_item;

uniform float height = 3.0; uniform float frequency = 20.0; uniform float speed = 3.0;

void vertex() { VERTEX.y += height * sin((frequency * UV.x) + (speed * TIME)); }

and making some outline, that’s it! hope it helps
