The game is about a surgery to remove a parasite from a patient's brain.

Really fun game! Love your take on the theme and sure, needed to reed the instructions carefully, but I really liked the controls. Cool idea and I could've easily played a bunch more. Nice job!
Thanks for playing! Really appreciate the feedback.
pretty unique and fun! definitely a learning curve. I think the controls sound more complicated in the tutorial than they are, I had to re-read the tutorial before it clicked I also like the music
Thanks for playing! Appreciate the feedback. I really wanted to have an interactive tutorial, because I'm very not satisfied with what's there, but ah well. I just didn't get time to add it.
Brought back memories of playing operation as a kid lol. Tutorial definitely a requirement, it might have been nice to have a level or two to ease in on some of the concepts but overall really interesting spin and a unique game! Nice work !
Thanks for the feedback! Appreciate it. Thanks for playing!
I had a lot of fun playing! A bit confusing at first but I got the hang of it
Appreciate the feedback! Thanks for playing!
Very cool concept! The last level was difficult but made a ton of sense. I feel like I understand surgery just a little bit better now. The controls were a bit difficult to figure out with the tutorial (I think maybe a more interactive tutorial would have helped), but once I got the hang of it it actually felt fairly natural.
Great job!
Thanks for playing! I appreciate the feedback.
I Finish it. Yep.. don't skip the Tutorial. Was confusing at first but got the hang of it.
Hey, thanks so much for playing! I wish I'd had more time to improve the tutorial and levels. Glad you finished it!
I tried diving in without the tutorial--big mistake. A lot of people died that day. After going back to medical school, I still didn't really know what I was doing, and a lot of people still died, but at least I have crushing school loans.
This was a really cool idea, sort of like operation except you have a chance to drain the green fluids when you mess up. I would have liked to have seen a little more level variety, like perhaps needing to reuse the opener tool a few times to get the parasite out, or even multiple parasites in one brain.
My main criticism is how hard it was to figure out. Once I figured out I needed to pry open a door in the arteries and drag the bug out, it wasn't too hard to do, but I think integrating the tutorial into gameplay would have helped a lot with that. After killing a few patients and then reading the tutorial, I still didn't really understand how the tools worked due to their complexity. Left click + right click + shift + scroll wheel? Isn't brain surgery is supposed to be easy?!
Nevertheless, still was a fun little game and I laughed out loud a few times while playing. A great first GWJ entry in my book, hope to see you at the next one!
Thanks for the feedback! I really appreciate it.
Yeah, I wasn't a fan of my level design either. And I agree the controls were too complicated. Thanks again for playing!
I enjoyed it. The controls take a little getting used to, but for me it didn’t take long at all. It reminds me of some good times playing Trauma Center on the Wii.
The point about open source just concerns whether or not you shared your game’s source code. If you haven’t already, I recommend integrating Git into your workflow to reduce the risk of losing any of your hard work to near-zero. After that, going open-source or not is just a matter of whether or not you share your Git repository. (EDIT: as well as what license you choose to share it under)
Hey, thanks for playing! And thanks for the feedback.
Oh, okay. I actually already use Git, but my repos are all private. Thanks for explaining!
fantastic, I'm a certified brain surgeon now thank yo
Lol! Thanks! Please don't mention me when you apply for your next surgical job though.
Never played something like this, its very hard but a lot of fun :D
Thanks for playing! Appreciate the feedback.
This was a pretty original idea! (at least I've never seen this) Congrats this is pretty neat
Thank you! Thanks for playing!
Nice idea but the controls are not that intuitiv and good to handle.
skill issue
Thanks for the feedback! I actually agree; it's pretty complicated for the length of game it is. I kinda think I should have at least added an area where you could play with the tools consequence free, but I just didn't have enough time. Thanks for playing!
