Fun, familiar concept, and well executed.  I loved the unfolding plot throughout the letters, well done!  I did feel a few times I was really close on my signature and it failed me anyway, so I'm not exactly sure how it checks them, but I had a blast regardless.  Thanks for the game!

Developer

Thanks for playing! I do wish I could have spent more time on the signature recognition, I guess if when you're searching for help on something and mostly get academic papers it might be a bit too complex for a game jam :)

This is surprisingly hard. I love the idea, the letters were fun to read :)

Developer

Thanks for playing! I did enjoy coming up with a backstory for it :)

Really cool concept, it's a shame you had to cut it short because I would have liked to see more of what you could have concocted for this. Lots of fun still anyways.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Yeah, even with the full time there's always more I'd like to do, was a real struggle cutting it short

Super Creative take on the theme! I'm going to have try this on my pc with a drawing tablet. I kind of sucked with my mouse.

Developer

Thanks for playing! I've got a beaten up old tablet and it does make it a little easier, though for most of dev and testing I stuck to the mouse since that's what most players would be using.

This is an interesting take on the theme. I would love to know how it checks the signature, I feel sometimes I fail but was very close

Developer

Thanks for playing! I spent a while reading up on super complicated signature recognition algorithms but in the end went for something much simpler.

For risk of pulling back the curtain, so I don't recommend reading this if you haven't played already, I generated heat maps of the signature, then to score I get the transform from the rect of the input to the rect of the heat map. Step one check it's not overly skewed, then score it based on points in the heat map. That does mean you're not scored on how much of the signature you miss, only what you hit. I got really into some of the papers on signature recognition, so who knows, I may revisit it after the Jam

Neat concept, I always love it when people take a theme in a fun direction. Not just tracing the signature made the game way more fun!

Developer

Thanks for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed it

My best attempt at cheating the system was putting a dot in bottom left and top right for "Bob" and totally getting away with it.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! Wow, you'd think with all these forgeries going around they'd be a bit more careful :)

Creative idea and I liked the drawing sounds very ASMR :) I would of liked to see how accurate each of my drawings was

Developer

Thanks for playing! Yeah I'd hoped to get something like that in, didn't make it that far down the TODO list, as happens every jam :)

Yes I feel you on this, there is never enough time aha

Very creative.  I think I have found a new profession :)

Developer

Thanks for playing! Don't try forgery at home, I hope people are better at spotting the fakes in the real world :)

Man, this is really difficult hahaha.  I tried so many ways to cheese, but even writing very small didn't work.  However, I did manage to draw one straight line and pass a forgery!  The sound when writing slow is satisfying.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Happy to hear you tried to cheese it, most fun I had in play testing was seeing how bad a forgery I could get to pass, and that's from the person who knows what the algorithm's up to :)

At first I thought it was just the points of the letters, but it didn't seem to be that because I tried drawing lines to the points.  And I'm still not sure why the straight line worked, but it was fun trying to make weird forges.

What a unique take on the theme! It really stands out among the crowd and it feels well polished.

Developer

Thanks for playing! I'm glad it stands out!

This game is so creative I love it must have been so hard to make congratulations. The art and sound are sick btw

Developer

Thanks for playing! You're right, it was a challange, but I think something pretty good came out of it :)
