I was very pleasantly surprised to get a flight sim for this game jam! I do like a nice little flight sim! And thank you very much for popping into my stream and sharing it!

Visually, I thought the game presented well. Being able to look around the cockpit was very cool. The core game play was easy to pick up and made for a nice relaxing little game.

I also really liked the ship’s claw! Very cool mechanic for picking up and transporting the asteroids!!

The flight sim controls could use a little work, however. They weren’t unplayable, but they definitely felt off. Additionally, while I really like that I could look around the cockpit, I think that definitely could have been a toggle, because, using my mouse to control the claw meant that I was always moving my view just a little off from center, which made things a bit difficult.

Overall, well done! I liked this game, and I liked seeing the original take on the theme for the jam!

If you’re interested in rewatching a random internet dude play your game, here’s a link to my playthough!

Was very chill just floating around in space. Took three or four attempts to read the controls and then reenter the game to get anywhere but then I could float towards and grab rocks. Music was great, needed sound effects maybe too for grabbing and throwing?  Mad impressive to put this together in one week for a jam

Great music and vibes

Great submission! It felt quite complex at first, but I eventually managed to get around it! I liked the 3D, music and environment. The atmosphere of the game is really cool.

Really cool to see something that isn't a 2D game. I'm surprised you had enough time to flesh it out in during the jam. Reminds me a lot of the smaller vehicle in Subnautica that you can drive around

Cool concept! Was very difficult to control though, I personally prefer default movement in space games being for strafe and mouse for turn. Great graphics.

Beautiful graphics and audio design! I couldn't figure out how to throw the rock tho.. But that atmosphere was AWESOME!

Thank you! It's a little weird, you have to get the gripers with the asteroid partially into the holes and then the asteroids just fly in themselves when you open the grippers. I should have extended the area node a bit past the outside of the satellite forges .

I loved the atmosphere of the game, although I found the controls a bit complicated. The music is very pleasant, and I could listen to it all day while working!

Congratulations on the release!

I love space sims, never considered doing one for a game jam because of time, but you managed to. Good job.

Nice first entry here!

I sadly didn't understand how to grab asteroids. But is that really a problem? I personally enjoyed floating in space for 10 minutes, listening to the music and looking for asteroid!

The game has a vibe that I like! And reminded me very slightly of outerwilds.

Developer

Thank you! I loved Outerwilds and it may have influenced me a bit. There is a ray collider in the center of the grips and you have to get the asteroids in just the right spot while closing the grips with Left Mouse button before the they snap into place. It's bit easier on the linux build because the grips have  a collision shapes to guide the asteroid but it was broken on the Windows build so I disabled it. Let me know if you have the bug where the asteroids just fly out of  existence when you try to grab them.

Looks like I can  grab it any way.
But I will try it on linux tomorrow! thanks.
