Really fun game, the only thing I could think to make it better is to add a recipe book where you can see the things you have already forged, because i kinda forgot lol. The art was also good, great color palette. Good job!
A great original idea! A bit complex working out the recipies in the time I could give it but definitly felt good whenever I discovered a new combination
Love the game, puzzle based to make great weapons and discovering new weapons.
Awesome game! I can only really reiterate commenters before me, but I loved the concept and artstyle, could definitely see this grow into a full game. Had some help from the screen shots to figure out the recipes, and then it was lots of fun getting a nice flow going, really impressive work!
Very on theme and original. It wasn't immediately obvious that you have to drag the conveyor tiles to connect them and a lot of different combinations that I felt should have yielded something ended up being trash. I still spent a ton of time on this game, probably the most of any game jam game. Really strong concept with some more polish.
Thanks for playing and commenting. Great to hear that our game entertained you for "a ton of time" <3
The visuals are pretty and the music is good. The gameplay is cool too but I'm too stupid to make anything that looks like a factory work, the best I could do was a trash bag ... Anyway, interesting game good job !
This game was frustrating and great at the same time. Not having any indication of what I can build was both a good and bad thing, with the constant timer sort if pressing me to not experiment as much as I'd like. Overall still a fun play, and watching my minions charge into battle armed with a log and a bag of trash gave me a genuine chuckle.
I wasn't fully sure what I was doing or what was going on at first, but I got the hang of the basics after a bit. I feel like the enemies at the bottom should have been a bit stronger to put some pressure on the player and force the player to experiment a bit more with combining stuff. But it was still a very cool game
It took a little bit to click for me but this game was pretty fun and interesting once I understood it. Finding new recipes and thinking about how to use new resources to make better things for my people was very engaging. Nice game!
It was a bit overwhelming at first, but once I figured it out, it was pretty fun :)
this is so addicting omg! i love the building aspect it really hooks u in and the art is so delightful :))
Wow, I can't even begin to imagine how you thought of the concept. It's really clever! But I think I lack the intelligence to figure out how to play from the get go. If you had more time, I bet you could pace out the leveling to have it gradually ramp up (e.g. start with 3 piece of ingredient, and slowly introduce the tiles). You should continue working on this though! The concept is strong enough to develop into a full fledge project. 5* for creativity for sure.
Thanks for the feedback! I think one of my (and my teams) biggest strengths is coming up with novel, interesting ideas/concepts for games. The downside is that you can't rely on people already kind of knowing how it works from having played similar games... It's a hard balance to hit, especially during jams, where extensive testing and time for creating tutorials is a rare resource...
Thanks again for playing!
It was overwhelming at first but the core concept is great, great job!
It’s well thought out, definitely overwhelming at first, but you all did an awesome job! I think there should be a little more breathing room at first to give the player a chance to experiment. Nonetheless, pretty original, easy to get into, fun to play. Good job!
First of all, I would like to congratulate you guys on the game. It's really well done and cool.
I found it a bit difficult to understand how to make materials at the beginning, and even after figuring out how to make some materials, I felt the lack of a recipe book or something I could consult to better understand how to produce the recipes.
The feeling of discovery is amazing, and I think this idea has a lot of potential to become a strategy and planning game that I would definitely spend countless hours playing and optimizing to perfection.
By the way, setting up an infinite spear production line is quite OP in the early game and gave me a breather to try to figure out how to make other items.
Congrats guys!
Thank you for the kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
A recipe book would've been great, but since there are multiple paths to many of the items, it would've taken quite a while to develop, especially in terms of UI. With more time, we definitely would have added something like that.
We made spears strong early on purpose, to make sure people have enough time to experiment once they discover them. Without spears you survive for around 4 minutes, with spears you get about 8 minutes and with multiple spears you already survive for quite a while. I think we missed the mark a little here, since while 4 minutes are relatively long, it feels very short due to the game being so overwhelming at first.
Thanks again for the feedback!
Really complex game idea executed well in a small time. It was difficult getting into the game and understanding the mechanics. It's a really fun game
I love this type of game. It took me a bit of playing to figure out what I could do with the different recipes were available and how to craft better things. I'd probably appreciate being able to pause and re-organize things (although, I realize that removes much of the challenge). It was just challenging to remember everything I'd discovered, build a decent layout and manage all the trash I was creating. I loved how everything in the game synchronized to the music. That was a really nice touch.

very engaging gameplay! for me at least it moved a bit too fast to encourage experimenting with combining different materials. by the time i started losing to the enemies i was pretty overwhelmed with everything going on, so it would be nice to include an option to slow it down for beginners. great job though!
Thank you for the kind words.
Our thought was that it takes around 4 minutes until you lose if you do absolutely nothing; if you produce spears you get around 6-8 minutes until you lose. So while it FEELS like you need to be really fast, you actually have quite a lot of time even in your first attempt, But from the feedback we're getting it seems like how it feels is more important than how much time you actually have.
We also designed around the idea of multiple plays, i.e. you play, learn, lose, start again with more knowledge, repeat. But it's maybe not realistic to expect people to play a game for that long when reviewing jam submissions.
Again, thanks for your feedback and thanks for playing!
Should be made a full game. Definitely would out compete Factorio. It has a lot of easy-to-understand mechanics that make sense but also makes a fun and complex game!!!
Thank you so much! We appriciate it =)
The game has a lot of potential. The idea is fun, unique and overall very interesting!
good job!
Thanks for the kind comment. Glad you liked it. :)
