Game Description
After being hacked, a group of criminals has given you the mission to steal three highly valuable art pieces so they can forage and sell them. Using the gadgets that they will give you after each successful theft, you need to walljump, rocket jump and swing through a large museum without getting caught by any sensors or lasers.

How does your game tie into the theme?
The goal of the criminals who've given you your mission is to forage the art pieces so they can sell them for absurd amounts of money.

Nice platformer! Loved the idea of the gadgets to navigate the environment differently. Great night goggles visuals!

Very fun platformer! Controls were snappy (on a controller). Gadgets were well-implemented with the stage design. Artwork fits with the audio to build the vibe of the environment. Overally a very fun experience!

I really liked the game. The gadgets were really fun, especially the night vision goggles, the shader made me feel like I was playing an old retro game. Good job.

Fun game you got going on~! The CRT shader and graphics were fairly decent. Will say in the early game, I did have trouble distinguishing the platforming obstacles from the night sky, however, the contrast in the actual museum was good. Audio and tunes were a bop! Also got stuck on the jetpack section, couldn't figure out how to get up into that to vent. Either way, good stuff!

There is a link in the description to a playthrough, so if you don't understand what you need to do to get up to that vent, maybe the video will help.

I was looking out for this as I remembered your post about coming up with the game name! This really has the bones to become something special! I was going to comment that the starting level's contrast was too low, I couldn't see the bushes. BUT i pressed on and BOOM. Night vision goggles (love the CRT shader). I got stuck shortly after the backpack jump, but I enjoyed myself thoroughly through the first few puzzles. With more gadgets, I can see this becoming a really fun game!
Best of luck for your exams!

Ty so much for the positive feedback! Each time I make a game for this game jam I already now beforehand that I'll probably make it too difficult. Playing really punishing games in the last few years has drastically my view on how difficult a game should be, so I always end up making my game way too hard (and I also just like punishing games). But hey, you still had fun so I guess my game did its job! :D

I had the best time playing this so far! Very fun gameplay, good level/puzzle design and exemplary tutorial. I wasn't able to finish the game though, the browser crashed right when I tried to use the new rocket(?)boots.

Developer (1 edit)

Whenever I used them for the first time, the game lagged a little bit because of the particles that are emitted. Maybe your PC or Laptop is too weak to process all of them at once, resulting in the browser crashing. Thanks for the nice feedback tho! :D
