Graphics are awesome and very well polished !
Gameplay worked, but it wasn't clear what I should be doing, without explanation and extra polish (removing debug mode, having a menu etc) it makes the game feel incomplete & like it lacks direction. To be clear, I don't think it does, but that's how it feels.
With that said it looks like there is good potential, the mood / lore is very unique & cool too. Congrats !
Hello there, thank you for the kind comment! The game doesn't lack polish but rathers lack the main game loop, our artist did such amazing art that we really didn't want it to go to waste and so we chose to leave the debug options in for people to enjoy all the different outfits and different dialogue types! We started with 3 days late into the jam, with one more day we could have completed it, but time management certainly was our biggest issue!
Hey, stuff happens in a jam, it's not easy what we do.
For what it's worth, I think you made the best choice there given the lack of time.
The art is very good, there is something here which I can see being very fun with more dev time, but right now it is super confusing to understand. Congrats anyway
It was difficult to figure out what to do initially, but after playing a couple of times it made a little more sense. I really do appreciate the character outfit changes, that's a nice touch.
Best graphics in the jam! Great work
Everything about the aesthetic here is great. Mechanically how the requests mapped to the actions I should take was non obvious. I love the style though and it'd be wonderful to see it more fully fleshed out.
Really great artwork and very responsive interactions, I pretty immediately got that the color corresponded to the effect of the tea being asked for, the wheel indicated something but didn't get it was temp until I made it too hot, and that the shrinking metal bar was a timing indicator to hit it with the hammer. Good sound design also. Maybe for a game like this, more story is needed to give the player something to think about when they are breaking up crystals and such (like how Strange Horticulture gives background about where the plants come from and such).
I found the art absolutely amazing, very well done. The controls are quite intuitive, but I found it a bit difficult to understand what needed to be done and how many steps were left. Congratulations, well done.
Awesome, awesome artwork. Relaxing music and sound FX. Maybe put instructions on the game page?
Crazy amazing art! Didn't quite get past "Safe Temperature" section. I figured out grinding the first part about grinding the stones but didn't understand how to go past the rest!
Like the other commentators below the artwork blew me away. Really solid effort. I don't get the gameplay yet?
Fun novel idea, well done! Art was amazing and the music was very pleasant. I enjoyed the unique controls as well. Was a bit confusing at first but all good given time.
Great visuals and love the machine animations - as others have mentioned a tutorial would have been great as you kinda have to guess what is going on.
Artwork is beautiful, music is peaceful and relaxing. I didn’t really know what I was doing for the longest time lol. Also seems like randomize tea order gives the same output each time?
Good job nonetheless.
the artwork, music and idea of forging tea are great, tho it would be nice to have a tutorial
