It took me a few restarts to understand what I was doing, but it started to get fun after that. Really impressive for a first GWJ. I dug the music, too.

Wow! For a first submission, this is incredible! Also very, very difficult. :P Main thing I'd say is a pet peeve of my own, which is to include WASD as valid directional controls - it's easy to do, and helps those of us that don't have arrows on our keyboards (I had to do a remapping for this and a previous game, so it was okay, but still, easy to add in project settings under input). At some point I thought I was really kicking butt, and then I got absolutely nusted and wanted to start again to see how far I could get - that's a great sign for any game!
I can't wait to see more from you!
I liked the visual perspective of this game! 3D-top down looks good! I liked that you included a screen-edge marker for the forge! I also liked the way of purchasing upgrade, by walking into the structures. Music and SFX was rad too!
I had hope to build more upgrades, but halfway through the game I thought the asteroids stopped spawning. I followed asteroids edge marker to the end of the map, but there didn't seem to be any in the indicated direction. On my way back, a stray asteroid hit Earth.
The visuals are awesome !! I love the mood, and how big the planet feels
I really like the way this game looks. It kinda feels like a minigame in Final Fantasy VII. Similarly to those minigames, this is unfortunately a bit unintuitive at first, but you start to understand after a while.
I think if the dots at the edge of the screen indicating the asteroids were some kind of icon it would have been faster to figure it out, but the current version works fine, it just takes a little bit to understand.
Overall, I enjoyed it. The aesthetic is nice and I like the quotes when you die
Wow. The visuals are stunning, those shaders are really putting in work! The audio is great and sounds effects are well mixed. And the gameplay loop is super fun. Watching the forge upgrade, the shadows on the planet from materials, being able to see where asteroids and the forge are off screen so you can just throw the materials to the forge, it's really the whole package. It's clear you put a lot of thought into this, excellent job!
Definitely felt some performance issues early on that ironed themselves out. In the end it's a game jam, so I feel like that's to be expected.
Love the art and music. Shame about the freeze/hitch up bug, hope you are able to figure that out post jam as the game concept is very cool. Well done!
I really liked the retro art style and music! I had some issues with lag on the web browser but that was probably an issue my end. Overall had a good time playing :D
I love the visual style! It was difficult to get into at first, I didn't understand anything, but i got it eventually :)
I had some issues while starting the game, some freezes and sometimes the Enter key didn't started it... but after that, the game run smoothly. It took some time to understand what to do but once you get used to the controls and where things are it gets better. I liked it :)
I destroyed an asteroid and all of the materials got destroyed with it, that's annoying
Wow, cool game! Love the retro aesthetic you got with the graphics and sound (and even the gameplay). Will say, it def took me a minute to figure out what was going on since the asteroids didn't get in my peripheral for a hot minute. It felt pretty slow at the beginning, which I think led to my confusion with what was going on.
I also experienced significant performance issues when starting the game. Doing things for the first time like grabbing power-ups, getting destroyed, and unlocking stuff would freeze my game for about 10 seconds then continue playing.
Regardless, awesome stuff~!
re: lag I suspect it's from a long-standing issue with particle/shader compiling, most apparent in web builds.
I think for games with lots of particles, it calls for addressing it with some of the workarounds suggested in these threads/videos.
(I'm trying to track down if there is a solution implemented into Godot Engine, but I don't think there is yet)

Very creative take on the theme, and I love the retro visuals and audio. A bit hard to understand exactly what was happening at first, but once I got it I had a good time. Well done!
Hard to get far enough into the game to understand the game loop. I really like the art style!
