Game Description
Play as a character traveling in a forest. Collect items, share your fire with characters, see creatures, and eventually leave.

How does your game tie into the theme?
Being in a forest always gives folklore feeling to me. Occasional creature escaping our sight. Along with a few nods to the Folklore album.

Great looking and unique art style. I'm happy there is no game over since the Flies kept killing me over an over.

Wonderful wonderful aesthetic. Reminds me of artistic 80s/90s children TV shows. The sounds of the flies are annoying - which is good because that’s how flies are :-)

Very nice! I got stuck once I collected the flute and the key and kept ending up back at the forest. Otherwise loved the art and the visual storytelling.

The hand drawn aesthetic is great, I'd love to see where this could go with more time put in it!

Hate those douchebag snowmen though :D

Love the hand-drawn aesthetic, as others have said. Super crisp and readable, and the animations on the spooky spider thing in the trees were really nice! A very vibes-based approach to the prompt, which I enjoyed.

Oh also I love the physics interaction with the water! Very satisfying little sproing lol

Thank you!!

Loved it! The handrawn art style is cute, coherent and clear :)

I had some bad lags with the snowmen, but it went away when i killend them?

There was so much mechanics and animations for a solo jam game, congrats! (what was that weird spider near the cliff??)

Had a great time playing this :)

Thank you!
Odd about the lag. Maybe some snowballs weren’t being freed correctly in my script.

Glad you saw the spider thing haha! My plan was to have a bunch more weird creatures move around in the background. But I ran out of time.

yeah, i had to restart the game because of the lag at some point... might want to investigate. I was playing on Firefox, on Windows.

I loved the artistic style, the setting is also well done, perhaps the only annoying thing is the flies, which are very fast haha

Great work! :D

Developer

Thank you for playing :)

Yeah I agree about the flies haha!

I actually had so much fun with this game! It's my favorite of the submissions I've played so far. The art is top notch and the concept is interesting. Plus, it plays super smoothly. Wonderful job!

Thank you!

Really cool art style

Couldn't find a way to more apples but everything else about the game was superb!

Developer

thank you!
I hear the snowman puzzle is not very intuitive. You have to scare it to the left near the wall and have the snowballs it throws break the wall. That might be the last apple you need.

Oh that went through my mind but then I guess I just didn't try it cause I didn't see why the snowballs would do damage to an icy wall
