Great game, i was frightened when i was collecting the doll and saw him lurking in the fog.

Also excellent use of music on the path, I got a little paranoid.

Its sad to see only so few rating, for a competently made horror game.

Great graphics and music. You people did a good job archiving a creepy atmosphere.

I suggest to package the different of executables in separate zip files in the future.

Great music and art direction. The movement felt good.
I miss some perils or challenges.

Its cool to play the villain from time to time. Art looks great, controls and game mechanics are easy to understand and execute.

Great looking and unique art style. I'm happy there is no game over since the Flies kept killing me over an over.

good controls, as a clumsy player i appreciate i dont die, but are just thrown back a bit.
The Sprites loo nice, the village is well done. The sheep look cute.

Some sound am music would have enhanced the experience like silly bouncing noises or feedback for swinging and hitting something.

Nice pixel art / colors and movement. I would like to do a similar style too sometime in the future.

Cool game if you dont have much time and want something simple and a little bit challenging to play

The graphical presentation is quite nice.
It took me some time until i noticed how to play (i gues)
After clearing the path they went into combat and both did die.
Did i get something wrong, can i influence the combat? I like to give it another try.

The character and camera movement feels good.

Hitting a target is satisfying when you take a long shot.

Would be cool if enemy's would also shoot balls at you. Then you could doge or with good timing shot it back.

Thanks for the comment.

Yeah the AI cant handle zero targets. There is a 15 second timer that should skip the AI turn when it breaks but i didn't have much time to test it.

I agree that there was to little mana and no way to recharge it. i think consumable mana potions would be a solution.

Its a neat idea to "search" for you own cause of death, got 5 ending but didn't know ho to progress further.

Spooky world with nice graphics and lightning. The Painting coming to life was my favorite one.

Love the Spritework and Titleart.

The animation look amazing.

The Lightning and music create a nice atmosphere.

Nice boss, got obliberated! Will try again later when i got more time.

Thanks for the Feedback,

The AI will should automatically skip its turn after 15 Seconds. its failsafe if something breaks. I gues there could be cases were this wont work.

Anyway i would need to rewrite most of the code, to much technical debt. :(

The forest was spooky and enhanced by fitting musik, even in the first playthroug and got better every time.

The movement feels solid and well paced. The textures with crisp pixels are lovely and remindet me of ps1 games. I spend far to much time investigating the trees and bushes at the beginning.

I also liked the goat throwing, but  no matter where he landed, he could always come back. Is good design that i could not softlock myself, even when i did try to.

The goat doesn't like if you jump onto hin, he can launch you into the stratosphere if you are note carefull.

 goodby cruel world

welcome pleasures of heaven

but after a few minutes i was back, back on the ground an reality?

Thanks for your comment. I thought of that feature, but didn't dare to add it so close to the deadline.

From all the comments this is the most requested Feature and i now regret not adding it.

the tileset looks great and the music is quite fitting. I would love to play more and progress my character. are you planing to expand your game after the Jam?

Quit game with nice soundtrack. I think it fits well with an young audience.

I liked playing these kind of games back in my schooldays. I got a "bad" surprise when a jumping unit killed my flyer.

The sprites look great with a nice color palette

turquoise/cyan in the foreground and liliac/purple in background.

As already said by others, but i still like to point this out: the music change when entering stealth is really cool.

Your sprites look amazing

the character is easy to control, i miss something like a "crunch" or knockout  sound when you take someone out. This would make it more satisfying imo.

Thanks for the extensive feedback.
I agree with your points. my biggest issue was the time constraint, alot of time was lost on debugging the ai. I had to feature freeze so i could ship the game in time

I "balanced" the battle so you would lose at least 1-2 units most of the time, so your experience was "as intended".

i think the concept is great, clever an unique.

The sprites an animations are awesome.

A friend of mine played a lot of pokemon snap back then. I instantly remembered this time.

Strategy games are kind of hard, i respect that you did try one for a jam.

Entertaining, i did try several times but i always lost.

Great mechanics and mood.

Great Voice acting.

Nice gameplayloop with "achievements" hehe. I think i got 7 and the well was my favorite one.

The tutorial was entertaining and with clear recording.

lovely characters and background with moody music.

Controlling the little guy is very challenging to me.

You pulled of the two color pallet competently.

There is also some repeatability in this sandbox-like experience.

I love games where your people/units are autonomous and you just watch them doing their job.

Thank You.

I had two people testing my game, with their help i could fix most of the bugs and typeos.

There a still some cases where the ai "freezes" that i could not fix in time, so i added an AiSkipTurnTimer to avoid a game breaking experience.

Thank you.
Yeah the Blue books are "boss" enemys. They should have been the brothers Grimm, but i could not finish the sprites.

Im always losing 1-2 of my Units to them too.

I like the sprites!
WOOOOO

Im happy you liked it, its my one of my favorit genres.

Thank you, im waiting for Godot 4.3 and the new Tilemap/Layer system. Now i need some rest. The crunch at the end was exhausting.

Thx!
I will wait for the upcoming 4.3 release since they changed the Tile map system.

I was playing it this morning, now i get

Error
The following features required to run Godot projects on the Web are missing:
WebGL2 - Check web browser configuration and hardware support

on Firefox.

Im glad it runs in the Braver browser.

Edit:
Runs fine on Firefox after restart of FF

i got to ~16km. It felt a little bit like pinball but with even less control.

Vampire Survivor like but with active attacks, i like it. The frog companion killed me instantly though.
