I would've preferred if you could control it with the mouse instead of the WASD keys since it was hard to move around. But overall, a great idea👍.
Great game! I really felt awful when I missed one of the red guys by a millimeter, dropped a new bomb and killed about 10 of my own instead. Didn't realise you played with the keyboard at first, so accidentally dropped about 3 bombs right in the city center on my first go. Never managed to save everyone.. maybe bombs were not the right tool after all? ;)
This one really surprised me and hit hard. With the war(s) going on right now, I think it's was a powerful and emotional one to play. I found myself having a hard time with it, in a good way.
I'm not sure if it was intentional, but I think the simplistic CapsuleShape3D was perfect, as it further dehumanizes the experience, and lets people use their imaginations for the people they're bombing.
Really, really wonderful work.
Thank you so much!
I like the perspective! I see some comments about the blurry textures so in case it helps, under project settings->general->rendering->textures you can set Default Texture Filter to "Nearest" to get crisp edges on pixel art.
An idea I had while playing is to add the ability to destroy buildings and maybe have enemies hiding inside of them?
thanks! I’ll have to look into that!
I had actually hoped to add some of those things, but I had nowhere near enough time. My first time trying isometric perspective, and life stuff
Quite interesting game! It has a lot of potential to expand the idea. Overall, good job!
Nice short game, it explores the theme really well and brings its point across very simply. There are no winners in war! lovely idea and quite fun to have a quick playthrough.
Really fun, addictive game, i wasnt able to win, good job!
Fun short game! I can't think of any feedback, except maybe the art looks a little blurry, but other than that it's great. Well done!
Thanks!
The game play is satisfying, and it controls nice and smooth! i like the screen shake and sound effect on impacts. It would be nice if the enemies would separate themselves more from the civilians periodically (even for a brief second) so you have a chance to try to beat it without as many casualties.. but much like in real life, drone strikes are not exactly precision weapons; so it fits the theme! good job.
This game reminds me a lot of the game “September 12th: A Toy World”. Also I beat the game lol
Wow, I had never heard of that game but it is exactly what I had in mind if I were to polish this. Thanks for pointing that out.
Haha oops, I have no idea how you got -1 civilians but I think that should count as a win
I liked this one. I feel like the graphics for the civilians and enemies could be worked on.
Thanks! I loved playing your submission!
Haha the graphic for the civilians/enemies is literally just the CapsuleShape3D.svg from the Godot GUI (https://github.com/godotengine/godot/blob/master/editor/icons/CapsuleShape3D.svg) - could definitely use some work
I liked it! I wish there was more punishment for killing civilians though. Overall great submission!
Thanks!
