I love how cinematic that looks! Honestly the lore and the "emberwood lily" part are really attractive and i would love to see more of this game for sure!
Absolutely nailed the atmosphere! And it was fun change of pace to be back to those old school RPG 'static' cameras for each area. Great job on this!
I actually think the presentation is really good, very cinematic and beautiful. But I found it difficult to know where to go after reaching the first torch, and every time I lost I couldn't restart the level, I had to reload the page, I don't know if it's a bug or not.
Still, I think with a little more work it could be something really cool.
great job! :D
I don’t want to criticize too harshly, as “WIP” is in the title. The Aesthetics of the game are quite nice. The opening does capture that freezing cold environment really well, and the title drop was fun!
The character moves so very slow, though, and the timer does not help matters, in my opinion. Additionally, most of the few scenes that I encountered were straight on side perspectives, so, having the player be able to move (especially in the ice bridge area) was frustrating given the time limitations.
In addition, there doesn’t seem to be a game reset when you fail. I had to close and re-open the web page and allow the game to load again to give it a second try.
Over all, there felt like there was so much missing that it was hard to engage.
I did stream the few attempts I made with the game here.
Totally agree with the critiques, appreciate the write up! It was our first time trying this, so we wanted to follow through with submitting even though we weren't able to finish. Watching the stream was super helpful. Adding a restart button will now be the very first thing we do from this point forward, hah. Thanks!
Wow, really great Atmosphere! Music, sound and lighting really sold it for me. Unfortunately I fell down that big ice bridge and couldn't get up, maybe some invisible walls should prevent you from falling down there?
Nice game! It looked really nice, tho I had a hard time navigating after falling in the cave. After accidentally walking out of screen I never found my way back in again D: Overall a nice and really good looking game!
Thank you for making it :D
This looks fantastic and is very on theme. I struggled to understand if I was doing the quick time events correctly, and I couldn't work out how to progress past ~2 minutes in the scene after the cave fall in. I'm probably being stupid, but how do you move past that point so I can try the rest?
Unfortunately the directional arrow icons for the bridge quick time didn't render in the browser properly. The sequence is right, left right, up, up, down. That was the last scene though, so you didn't miss anything. Appreciate the comments!
The presentation is amazing! Incredibly cinematic. It makes me want to learn more about the character and backstory. Great job!
This this.. IS AWESOME its a fully fleshed-out game for free not good job guys fantastic job !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In the final sequence, it looks like the arrow keys didn't render for the quick time event. Just spam WSAD until you get past that!
