Game Description
The town of Gruberville is in trouble! Famous for being a premier holiday destination, Gruberville was hit by disaster when a freak storm destroyed their epic Christmas tree. Mayor Hans has left in search of a replacement, but only the magic of Spruce Willis can save them.
How does your game tie into the theme?
Freezing enemies is an essential mechanic of the game. Also, freezing in place (hiding) helps avoid getting caught. The setting is also winter time.

this is fantastic glad to see some 3d games in here wonderfull job guys!!!!!!
This has an insane level of polish for a jam! Definitely an interesting way to get around, but I'm definitely give it a few more tries to hopefully get more festive.
Thanks for playing. The movement mechanics were somewhat of a split vote on if you should move without holding/pressing the jump key. It was ultimately my call and I thought that making the choice more deliberate helped with the sound ping mechanic when you land.
That was great! Your audio design was amazing, the music felt right and fit the game perfectly. I couldn't figure out how to throw the snowballs. I also liked how I could zoom in and view the tree!
Hey thanks for the kind words. I recorded all the sfx (first time trying that). The music I found on a free sounds site. You need to collect snowballs from snow piles first and then you can click to shoot your snowballs. That could have been much clearer in the instructions but we were up against the clock running on very little sleep :).
Thanks for playing.
Imagine walking around town one night and having a random tree come out of nowhere, freeze you by throwing a snowball at you, and hop away. I guess that's just par for the course in Gruberville.
I was not expecting 3D models and art like this for a 9 day jam. The intro cutscene and the way the main menu was presented as the bulletin board was super creative. I kinda suck at this game though, so I was only able to get within like five items shy of finishing (I'm assuming that the number of snowballs you can carry is how many items you have left, so based on the fact that I could only pick up five snowballs toward the end, I'm guessing that's how many I had left).
Also, I love the reference to Mikecicle on the bulletin board.
Thank you so much for the kind words! I spent a lot of time making the majority of the models and not very much time sleeping. We had another artist doing the little people and their animations, and he did the intro cutscene as well.
Yes, the number of snowballs and ornaments share the same "inventory" slots. There are also garlands, lights, and toppers that don't go into the ornament slots. And don't worry about not being great at the game. I've been play testing all week long and it sounds like you're already better at it than me.
If you check back throughout the voting period, you'll see some new postcards from Mayor Hans and the other games he's visited this week!
