One of my favorite games of this jam, great work!! The atmosphere conveys an eerie feeling of uncertainty, specially thanks to the random events happening as you explore the dungeon (and the on-point sfx of course!). At first I thought the narrow corridors would make it harder to navigate, but it actually helps building a sense of claustrophobia when an enemy is chasing you. I'd love to play an extended version with more variety of evolving enemies and random events :D
Thanks for the positive feedback! I agree, I need to update this game!
Pretty fun, I like the procedurally generated rooms. I want to point out how the audio I think is really good in this. the background atmospheric music fits nicely and the sound effects aren't harsh or drowning out other effects, and monster noises help me know what's ahead without seeing them. Had the same bug that others mentioned about restarting the game but honestly it's such a non-issue to refresh the page that it doesn't matter. Good job on this :)
Thanks for your feedback! I'm glad everyone likes the sfx, and that the bug doesn't ruin the game!
the background track you picked is so good for the atmosphere of the game. I love the sound in this
This was fun! I ran into the same issue as some other commenters, where I had to restart the game to get enemies to spawn again after dying.
Overall a good start to a game, I enjoyed the different enemy types but more weapons for the player and maybe more map variety would have been really cool. Nice work on the map generation though!
I totally would have added more weapons and enemies if I had the time, glad you enjoyed it though! And wow I can't believe I missed that bug lol.
Been playing games with less ratings for this game jam, and I'm glad I did, because I've found some awesome games. This one was super fun. This game felt like an action RPG game set in the Half Life universe. And am I correct in thinking the levels are procedurally generated? Because hats off to you if they are. I'd never be able to do that in 9 days lol.
I did run into what I think was a bug, where after I died I spawned back into a map on wave 0, with no enemies present.
Liked this a lot; keep up the great work.
Thanks so much! I'm so glad you found it fun enough to leave a comment, not much else I could ask for! (about the bug, I did expect for there to be some bugs but yeah hopefully this on didn't ruin it for you) And yes the levels are procedurally generated!
most fun ive had on one of these banging game
Thanks!!
