Notes while playing: Good-looking sprites.
I may have seen this shader before, looks more like a lava lamp than water but better than nothing.
Bit annoying when the fish are stuck to the left you can not play them, if you press space it stops the tune. have to wait for it to loop.
So gameplay loop is very simple, maybe too simple? Feels very sandboxy. Wish there was one more mechanic, like moving some sort of cursor up and down to match the fish or like 1-2-3-4-5 hotkeys to hit depending on the top-bottom position.
Haven’t paid too much attention to the notes played, are they purely random out of a set?
Good entry overall, short good-looking fun.

Very cute and chill, and a cool take on metamorphosis making it also affect values tied to the instruments being used. I certainly wasn't expecting something of a rhythm game here so this was a pleasant surprise :)

I thought the little tadpole guys were so cute! Though I wish there was some form of background music. Even though it said in the options the music was cranked up all the way if there was background music I couldn't hear anything. Though I don't play a lot of rhythm games so maybe that's not a thing?

This was a typo from us: the settings menu should have said "Background noises" instead of "Music". Originally, we had a background music, but it made the game harder since we did not have time to make it go in sync with the beats (the beat frequency increases as you progress in the game, so the music also needs to speed up accordingly). Therefore we decided to remove the background music and only keep the background sounds (running water, bugs, etc.).
Love the sound design! This game has a very enticing gameplay too! I found myself playing over and over to get a better score! 😃
Only small problem I had was missing the tadpoles often. It could just be me being absolutely terrible at rhythm games but sometimes I felt that I should have gotten the hit but missed. Maybe a bigger hitbox would help?
Other than that, very solid entry! Had a lot of fun, keep up the good work! 😄

Indeed the hitbox size was an issue that some players faced during the (short) playtesting we did (too large hitboxes made the game trivial, too small made it too punishing). With more time we could have implemented some adaptive hitbox or a smarter solution, but sadly we only had time to balance the hitbox size. Anyways, glad to hear you had a lot of fun despite this difficulty! :)

Very entertaining and very cool design. The changes of the tadpoles are original and make you finish completing the game to see the transformations of each one.
