How does your game fit the theme?
every decision of the player will have consequences like buying equipment because each equipment has its own demerit stat so the player have to carefully pick out which equipment to prioritize first.

This game has a reputation system and a quest system in which their reputation is dependent to the quests that they will receive. The more reputation they have, the higher the difficulty of the quest they will receive. Also, to hire more members to the party, reputation plays a huge part to it. Declining a request, team member died, or running from a taken quest will decrease the reputation of the player.

This game also let the player the ability to run from quests and permadeath. This will let the player decide to continue risking completing the quest when a party member is close to dying or to run and prepare for it later on. If the reputation of the player dropped to a certain reputation, then a party member will leave the party with the equipment invested into them.

The other quests that were not taken will increase its days inactivity in which will increases the stats of the enemies for that quest and also if reached a certain inactivity, then reputation will decreases.

A nice turn-based combat RPG game ๐ŸŽฒ๐Ÿ—ก๏ธ.

GAMEPLAY
The game presents a rich concept with a variety of choices that enhance the player's experience. The strategic decision-making in battles, quests, and purchases adds depth to the gameplay. Wanted to do an extra quest each time and try to get through. Was fun to play!

ART STYLE / VISUALS
The coherent pixel art style provides a visually appealing and nostalgic experience, reminiscent of classic RPGs. The diversity in combat environments and the inclusion of visual effects (VFX) contribute to the game's appeal.

AUDIO / SOUND DESIGN
The music also complements the game well, though the suggestion for varying tracks across different environments could further enhance the immersive experience. Such variation would mirror the visual diversity.

INNOVATION
The game may not introduce groundbreaking innovation.

THEME
The theme of consequences is effectively integrated into the game, with every choice and action having an impact on the player's journey.

Congratulations on creating this compelling and polished game during our jam period.
Keep up that nice work! ๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŽฎ

This game maximized the use of the "consequences" theme with the reputation system and the time mechanic of the missions. The experience is great and the systems are cohesive. I think the progression was a little slow and the first missions had a repetitive structure. The song is good but it's tiring to hear the same during a big part of the game. For some reason, the game got stucked once I used magic. Out of that, I admire your work making an RPG game with only a few days, so, good job!

Glad you enjoyed it! there is another bgm in the game but it will only be played if you accept a hard quest. Thanks!

Interesting interpretation of the theme, especially the quest system. The combat system is very cool with the classes having different abilities.

As feedback on the art style: some of your UI elements are scaled differently than others making them look weird. I would recommend trying to keep the same aspect ratio on all images.

Nice job!

Thanks for the feedback!

This is a great game! The visuals of the game were pretty good and it felt intuitive what to do during the game. A suggestion that I would give for this game is a way to make each turn faster so it would be less tedious to go through each quest.

I love the art of the game. Simple but fun. Missing a little feedback when selecting the different skills, but otherwise very cool.

Definitely a fun play, the gameplay loop is obviously relatively small in general but the polish is very impressive.

Thank you!

Very fun game, its the clasic game of attack for turns, its fun but i dont get where the tematic of consequences is. And the game can be almost done only pressing w XD

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you! In the later quests like normal and hard is when the game starts to heat up

I'm blown away by this game, it's so good. I can't believe it was made in 10 days, I had a lot of fun. The mage buff plus AOE was very satisfying. The art was great, animations were snappy. I wish there was a popup when I hovered over the abilities, but even without it I figured it out. Nicely done!

Developer

Thank you! I thought that putting the details on the game page was enough already to understand the abilities. I will take note of this on my future games.

Very fun little game, everything worked pretty well, i liked the art style, only thing to improve would be the abillity to hover over attacks in combat to see what they do instead of having to test them manually

Developer

Thank you! I will be taking note of this.
