A kind of real-life money simulator game ๐๐ฐ.
GAMEPLAY
The concept of managing money and making choices that reflect real-life financial dilemmas is both unique in this jam and engaging to do. This approach provides a solid foundation for a game that not only entertains but also educates players on financial literacy :-). The potential for expanding this into a more comprehensive life simulator with even more options and decisions offers an exciting direction for future development. It was a bit short now, but still had fun playing.
ART STYLE / VISUALS
The simple yet effective graphics serve the game's purpose well.
AUDIO / SOUND DESIGN
The audio and SFX were solid.
INNOVATION
Introducing real-life financial concepts into a game format within this jam showcases a bit of innovation. This real-world kind of game adds a unique twist, setting it apart from other entries.
THEME
The theme of consequences is effectively highlighted through the choices players must make, reflecting the real-life impact of decisions.
This game lays down a solid foundation for an educational yet entertaining experience. Curious to a future update with more options. Keep up the excellent work! ๐๐๐ฎ
Thanks GoedWare! And great work on the jam! It was really enjoyable.
A nice concept, but there was no clear concept of winning or what to do with the money. Would be nice to sustain yourself (food, rent, homeowenership) in some way.
Thanks RedZ for playing!
You're right. I'm working on the update with things that weren't ready to add at the launch, like hunger, happiness, houses, and events.
I love the concept, it's a nice idea and fits perfectly with the theme. Good job!
Thanks Niubyx!
Cool game, I enjoyed the concept and I can also see how this game fits the theme of consequences where you can choose to spend your money or get loans.
You could very well expand the game to allow players to make more choices other than loans, education, and work. Maybe you can have all the money in the world when you reach 100, but if the character ended up being unhappy from not pursuing other parts of life other than work, that could be a consequence. (But then the scope would be too high hahaha)
In any case, the game was interesting and had a nice take on the theme!
Thanks you AtomicAnt!
You are absolutely right. In fact, happiness and hunger were stats that I initially added to the game, but I didn't have the time to work on them correctly. I ended up disabling them for future updates.
The idea is one of the best representations of "Consequences". It's short and doesn't have too much options, but still enjoyable.
Thanks for playing Braulio!
Very little game but enjoyable, I only miss a way to spend money
Thanks Carlos!
I enjoyed this game. Took a second to figure out, and once I did there wasn't much to decide. However it was still enjoyable :)
Thanks pterafier!
Very fun little game, it was interesting and well done with no real bugs found, however faster walk speed or the ability to run would be great, its very well done but its alittle hard to tell the consequences, since you basically get dropped in a world work for 6 years to afford a education (Or loan from the bank) then you choose an Education and theres not really any difference from what i could tell in the educations other than just the flat payrate so you go for Health since thats the one with the most, i worked from the age of 29 till the ripe old age of 101 when i died haha
Thanks for the well-written review, Leonard!
You are right; there should be something to spend the money you earn, as there is no point in working if there is nothing to buy with it. During development, I had the idea that the player could buy a house and start a family, but due to poor planning, I didn't have the time to add it.
Regarding what you mentioned about abilities, that's an interesting idea. I will work on it. Thanks again!
You're welcome Rome! Thats a good idea, then at the end of the life you could give the player some input about how they spent their life in relation to both Work and Home, to show what you spent your life doing.
Interesting concept! I wish the gameplay was a bit more fleshed out though. Would love to try a finished version.

Thanks L Alone!
I love the concept for this game. It would have been good though if we have something like a map or maybe a guide to see where are the buildings that we can interact.
Thank you oMJo! I will add a minimap in the post Jam Update!
So gooood bro!!!
Thanks Alex! Glad you liked!
The game is fun, it's hard to figure out some of the mechanics although to be fair this is a game jam lol. Overall very unique, and it's an excellent play for sure.
Thanks Prometheus!
You're right! I'll try to add a minimap and some tips in the next updates!
A nice little game, I like the idea a lot!
It was hard to figure out where what is, because the camera is kinda close and there is no world map, and I also think the โoptimalโ route is easy to figure out: Buy the health education, since it seems to pay the most and all the options cost 30k (Unless I missed something). Something you could also add would be promotions, you need to work x years here and your salary increases, or being able to invest your money! There is definitely potential here!
Thanks Hex!
I totally agree. I appreciate the promotion system you mentioned. In fact, during the development, I had an idea to add an event every time you worked, with different outcomes. Unfortunately, I didn't have the time to add it before the deadline!
I will prepare an update with the directors-cut!
